The video shows the development of temperature anomalies from Wednesday one week ahead. Eastern Europe is set to experience the strongest cold spell of this winter so far, especially in Ukraine and Belarus. 🥶🧐 Temperatures will drop below −25 °C around the turn of the week, which is 10 to 20 °C lower than is typical for the region: However, the mass of Arctic air will not spread much farther into Europe and will stall over Eastern Europe. This mass of Antarctic air is concentrated mainly over the continent, where it has persisted for an extended period.
