This further demonstrates why Armageddon is the most right wing movie of all time. It’s a MAGA fantasy where the blue collar numskull heros are right and science nerds are wrong.The oil industry saves the world from annihilation. And their ultimate reward - never pay taxes again!

This is hilarious. Then again, Affleck made a film THE TOWN about a heist gang who repeatedly rob banks in their neighbourhood and then (literally) go home. Major gun battles on the street. And the police are like, "who are these guys? where are they hiding?"

I happened to watch that yesterday… And I still prefer Deep Impact. Far better movie.

I had NO IDEA that his commentary was that lit… I’m gonna have to watch it again.
