Don't let religion stand in the way, of you leading the life that you want to lead. Religion is man made. All that is needed is common sense, empathy and love.

You can be whatever you like A healthy society is always going to favor normative roles and relationships that perpetuate family units and procreation Forcing yourself into this normative sector is useless and painful Just live, love and focus on you.

This is one of my problems with religion. Though my Mother is Jewish, because of her Mother's side, she was raised Catholic. She raised my sister and myself Catholic. As I got older, I learned how to reason. I started looking for evidence of an existence of God. The Bible, a book of fairy tales was of no help, but I would like to know how two penguins walked from Antarctica to the middle east, to get on a boat. Then when the boat came to rest atop mount Ararat, the Kangaroos disembarked and hopped all the way back to Australia, and without opposable thumbs, picked up all the bones of their dead as to leave no trace of ever having made the journey. Maybe if I didn't see my entire family suffer to death with the cancer, despite my Mother's Mother and her whole family that was WAY more religious, one of them even wore light blue, and white, as if she was the virgin Mary... NEVER drank, never smoked, never ate excess and actually underrate, because religion told them that gluttony is a sin. My Dad eats fish every Friday during lent and he HATES it, because he thinks that if he doesn't eat fish, God is going to burn him in hell for all of eternity. The harder I look for evidence to the existence of God, the more evidence comes up that he doesn't exist. Men made up stories to CONTROL you. And they control you by making you feel guilty, or that some spooky incompetent Father figure is going to send you to a place full of fire, to choke on smoke until the end of time... But he loves you ! (George Carlin Reference) People need to live their life how they think they should and stop allowing these people that make things up make them feel bad about themselves. Just think of all those altar boys that prayed but the priests washed their feet anyway. (To keep it clean)
