Watsuki🥰: Even now, I find the first Kenshin anime really enjoyable to watch. But for today’s younger generation, there aren’t many chances to come across works from back then. So, I’m thrilled to see a new version of "Kenshin" brought to life with modern techniques. It’s also meaningful to adapt it into an anime now that the manga has been fully completed. I asked the staff to make the new anime faithful to the original work, but to tone down the 90s feel a little.

I lead written socials at Lovable and today I built an AI clone of myself with Lovable and our new Slack connector. It proactively monitors relevant sources and reaches out to me when it finds an opportunity. I can also tag it with a post idea, and it will help write it. We (Claude and I) made a new package: voxmlx It's an MLX implementation of Mistral's Voxtral mini realtime speech recognition model. It supports streaming audio and runs pretty fast on a laptop. To use it, simply: `uvx voxmlx` Also I did not write a single line of code for this package. Every line of code was written by Claude Code. More on that in thread.

The renderer is early and has tradeoffs, but already we've found that most internal users prefer it over the old renderer. It also supports mouse events (yes, in a terminal). nyc pizza shop has no idea that they sold to a CLANKER i was craving a cheeky pie so i built an agent to send me one little bro launches a browser, finds to a nearby pizza shop, reads the menu, picks an item, generates a virtual card, and places the order. 100% onchain, i didn’t have to touch any stinky api keys or log into any websites loaded a wallet on Tempo and it: - pays for its own brain (anthropic api calls) through Machine Payments Protocol micropayments - pays for its own @browserbasehq stagehand sessions - buys a virtual card with USDC through AgentCash and Laso Finance - types that card into Stripe checkout like how a human would an agent doesn't need a card or an email or frankly even its own compute. give it a wallet and it’ll figure out how to buy things and serve you (repo coming soon, need to clean it up)

The past year has seen me have a renaissance, in the truest sense… I won’t go into details now but will at some point before long. What has brought so much happiness to my life and those around me this past year has been my falling back in love with sport. Cycling has, and always will be, my number one. Yet I’d forgotten that I simply love sport, not for results but for the sheer joy of doing it, I’d completely forgotten that the health of my mind is intrinsically connected to the health of my body. I’ve rediscovered the love I had for sport that existed before the world of professional cycling took over in the way it did. I’ve been pushing myself and trying new things this past year, indifferent to the results, just out having fun and at times going deeper than I thought I was capable of anymore. Last week I got on a TT bike for the first time in a decade, Factor Bikes built me a bike, I’ve been looking at it for two years and decided it was time to get fitted, getting back on it felt like going home. Anyway, the long and the short of this is that it’s inspired me to create a club to inspire and be inspired. A community for us to share our love for getting out there and doing it, because I’ve realized that although I spend most of my sporting life on my own I derive the most pleasure when feeling part of something. It’s in its early days, I’ve called it Sporting Club CHPT3 aka SCC3, I’d love you to check it out and join. It’s still in its infancy, but I hope it’s going to grow into something that will inspire you as much as me.

While I have premium I definitely want to do a long post breaking down the main scene from this show that I obsess with. There's so much that I feel could be learned from it. Not just for expansion animators either. There's honestly a LOT that can be learned from how this show directed its expansion scenes that can be applied to even safe for work animations. Obviously yes, the expansion alone is really good. What makes it so good though is just the fact that there's things you pick up on that you likely don't even realize until you re-watch. I'm using this scene as an example as it's not AS good I would say, but it still has a lot going for it. One thing I've always loved from it that I want to use in my own animations someday is that the expansion sort of comes in waves as opposed to one consistent growth. In a way, it makes it feel more natural while also selling how tight the top is getting. It could have been accompanied by showing the knot getting tighter or smaller with each growth. It's a small part of the animation but just that one thing already adds another layer to appreciate. It's not like most expansion scenes where there's very little outside of just "growing" on its own. There's a bunch of little things that subtly improve it without being obnoxious. The first expansion scene has WAY more that I want to talk about honestly. Far more than this one has. It will probably be a really long post now that I think about it...

In an interview with MTV's Superock, Halford said: “I have been a gay man all of my life, and it's only been in recent times that it's an issue that I feel comfortable to address."
