I have a ton of respect for Quick as a Cup winning goalie in his prime, and I’m a huge fan of the athletic style he uses in goal, not too far removed from Dom Hasek But after tonight Quick was a real hardo and putz, looks like a total sore loser and he put his teammates in danger responding to this useless poseur move … he wasn’t in the goal, and Appleton shot on the buzzer, big whoop Bonus points for Captain Larkin who sniffed out the possibility of someone being a bonehead like Quick was Quick played another great game and almost stole a point(s) for his team, but he loses some of my respect for being a total douchebag after the final buzzer Character win for the DRW at a much needed juncture

It was borderline on Appleton's part but he probably could have held off on it. That's a major faux pas in the NHL and everybody knows it. Just not something you do. What surprised me the most was Zibanejad and think it was Adam Fox saw it and just skated off like nothing happen. Didn't even have words with Appleton. Usually there's an immediate reaction. That's probably what pissed Quick off more than anything after he stood on his head in that game to give the team a chance. No respect from the other team or his own team mates. Can't blame the guy.

And that shift probably wasn't meant to throw a bone to Kane for the horrible lineup and usage, it was almost certainly Todd trying to throw a free goal or point to awful Emmitt Finnie, who is not good enough to get free anything in that scenario.
