Yesterday, Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed said Jews shouldn’t be targeted because of Israel’s actions. Today, he goes on the news to call the war Hamas started a “genocide,” which the ICJ has not determined, and accuse Israel of targeting women and children, a claim not even the UN would sign off on. Does he think stating that Jews don’t deserve collective punishment gives him full permission to lie about what Israel does? Coincidentally, the particular lies he chooses sound an awful lot like the blood libels that have led to centuries of Jewish death and exile. So interesting.
