The Eldian people are not guilty for the act of their forefathers. And also, The Eldian king REMOVED the history from his own people, as he though it would bring them peace. All it did was leave them in confusion as the world rallied against them for their past sins. Marley could've nuked all of Paradis while they had the chance, but instead, the played a dragged out campaign against Eldia. Eren had to end the madness. It had to end! Serves the world right.

The mission is to infiltrate, search and secure the founding titan, and they know about the 10.000 titan army in the wall, so going nuke isn't exactly a good idea if your mission is infiltration
