Besides in an end-of-half scenario, don't think I've seen a defense run a "drop-9" coverage quite like this from the Jaguars. This play was at the 3-min mark of the second quarter. Dropped nine into coverage vs. HOSS Juke.

I've been trying to find a stat to showcase the historic run of the first team Ohio State defense... OSU has given up 9 TD's this season - 5 of those came in the final minute of the third quarter or later. The scores at that time in those games were: 34-0 35-3 34-3 34-10 14-0

Take a look at this play from Jackson Henry Phenomenal effort One of the best individual plays I've seen a SDSU Football QB make in my 5 years of covering the program SDSU with a massive game this Saturday vs Illinois State

I understand AJ Brown’s frustration overall. This play happened in the 1st quarter. They choose a gimmicky play for Dallas Goedert instead of trusting AJB in this 1v1 to the left with no coverage help.. Look at how much space he would’ve had against that corner.

For the second week in a row, Alabama NT Tim Keenan III dropped back into coverage. Keenan III is listed at 6-foot-2, 320 pounds. What are your thoughts on this? 🤔

This isn't college tape; this is the NFL. Here is the Arizona Cardinals 3-High Tite Front defense defending a Counter GY from the Cowboys. The coverage rotation sends the Ni to the Post with the two other Safeties working into the Weak Hook and Seam. The move places 3 bodies at the point of attack with one puller to block them. Find more resources on this unique defense at MatchQuarters. Search "Cardinals". --

Cardinals in a 'Mint' (Tite) alignment with a weak 'roll' to Cover 3 from their 3-High coverage shell vs. the Lions. Watch Budda Baker as a heat-seeking missile... 💥 This is truly one of the more unique defenses you will see in the NFL. --

let's talk about the Cooks play: Jaguars are in 2-Read, or Palms coverage. They've run it a lot this year, trying to coax the offense into throwing the out route and the CB jumps it. However, the rules for Palms (and I want to preface before saying, I am not in that mtg room)...

6/19 3:12pm - A little band of heavy rain is moving through parts of the metroplex. Once this clears, the rain coverage will stay low the rest of the day and into the night.

Upon further review, Garrett Nussmeier was much less bad than I had thought initially Saturday. The bigger problem was that he never had anywhere to go with the ball and Alabama played a great game of coverage. Because LSU can't run, they kept both Safeties free and it became impossible to figure out what coverage they'd be in both pre and post-snap. Here Nussmeier sees the corner turn to match the post like he's playing Cover-3, but he falls off after the ball is in the air as they shift late into 2-Roll (Cover-2 variation). Can't blame Nussmeier for this one, it looked open, but it's so much easier to play coverage when you don't need one of the Safeties in immediate run support.

Merry NBA Christmas games folks! This was a high IQ play from Wemby at the end of the quarter, he timed his blitz on Brunson knowing there wasn't enough time get a pass and shot off.

A glimpse of what it was like at MetLife Stadium yesterday. Granted, it was the start of Q3, but still: this is the state of the Giants right now. This is as empty as I've ever seen it on the All-22 glance. The fanbase is beaten down—too many years like this in a row.

I made World News Tonight with my air quality coverage. A code red was issued earlier today and some of the images here in Philadelphia look like we live in Mars! I’ve never seen anything like this before. Crazy stuff!
