Best character exit of all time? I’ll start:

Great exit in the Truman Show

INDEPENDENCE DAY (1996) Randy Quaid as Russell Casse… [No Ai][Image: 20th Century Fox]

Terminator 2

The Iron Giant

Dead Poets Society

Pvt. Jackson in ‘Saving Private Ryan’ (1998)

Searchers

Hard to top this one

Brooks’s exit scene . . . tangent but Stephen King said of blood soaked nightmares he’s unleashed on the world his favorite adaption was the The Shawshank Redemption and the coming of age film Stand by Me neither of which features a killer clown in sight.

from Mad Men (2007-2015) Here are my MovieNerd scores where I score many movies and shows. It’s a lot of fun. I gave it higher scores because of characters and dialogues. You can give it a try yourself too.

Samuel L. Jackson is on the Mt. Rushmore of character exits with this scene

HAL 9000, "2010." Director Peter Hyams did a GREAT job with this sequence. Heck, the whole movie is great. For Douglas Rain (the voice of HAL), RIP. "Will I dream?" 🍿🔥🥲

Steven Seagal’s character exit in in Executive Decision not even a quarter of the way through the film . . . his character deserved better that what happened to him in this movie (even though it was honorable and made the entire movie grade level better).

This one was so good . . . Everyone cheered!

Thelma & Louise. Best & saddest. 💔

The best character ending of all time: Six Feet Under

No show did character exits worse than The West Wing. Where did Mandy go?

🤣🤣🤣

Walter White laughing in the lab and it’s not even close.

The final scene for Charlie Chaplin’s tramp.

Lara Flynn Boyle's death scene in LAS VEGAS. Probably the best thing I've ever seen on broadcast television, when it comes to "inventive deaths" 🤣

Here’s a better character exit
