reminder this game strafe speed is super slow so don't worry if you think your outer deadzone on the LEFT Stick is too low. It's not it will help your character reach that top speed faster.

Remapped RB to X and A to LB. Being able to look around for cover helps so I dont have to play claw

So believe it or not set your RB to doge roll and its amazing, you can roll without taking your thumb off the aim

Oh I play with 4 paddles/back buttons but only use 3. Right for A left one for B and top left shoulder button for Y(jump)

Let’s fucking go Domezkii Would you recommend remapping any buttons on modern? I have paddles and want to utilise my shit and feel comfortable with what I’m rocking now and generally drop 40 bombs most games but wondering if I can tweak anything to play even better

tbh I wouldn't recommend remapping but If I was to do any remapping it would be X to RB, and RB to X. Like that you Reload with RB like the original Gears of War Titles.

Is it true that movement is more fluid on modern? I have been using Legacy because you can only stickywalk (roadie strafe) on Legacy, and I think that move is very strong in this game.

Nice. I will continue to adjust deadzone and sensitivity. I am doing well on default controls. Cover/slide on A makes sense. Less time having your thumb off the right stick.

Running with sticks is criminal in Gears

Modern is terrible, Gears has always had RB as reload on controller. This scheme flips this to melee which makes 0 sense, idk why so many people insist that Modern is better than the Default

U should specify paddle use or not. If it’s a regular controller remapping cover to RB makes it sooooo much easier and more pleasant to play. Prob get 25-30% more kills tbh

Yeah I saw a few top former pros go from 30 down to 20-23. Seemed like 30 was overkill this is coming from me playing on 30s on Reloaded. But reloaded didn’t give us deadzone options.

If you're playing on controller, you're cooked.

How come your LS outer is 0.4 and your RS outer is 1.00 deadzone

Because left stick is based off movement not aim, right stick deadzone if you mess with the outer it will throw off the in-game consistent aim factor. You don’t want to barely move your right stick and your aim just reach a max output faster with barely any stick input.
