Every dog I've ever had just laid there and allowed its nails to be trimmed. Maybe it's because I never cut them too short.

I have to use the lick mat with PB on the sliding door to trim them with the dremmel. Make sure you dont give dogs PB with Xylitol or Birch sugar in it as they are toxic to dogs.
