Could not agree more. I’d argue that, given the context, it’s one of the greatest trailers in video game history. At the time, Saint was this mythical figure in the Destiny universe. He killed so many Vex that they built his tomb and worshiped him - his return was like writing something crazy on a Christmas list hoping but not expecting it to actually arrive…until it does and makes the entire holiday a core memory.

And then some new hire at Bungie retconned the amazing lore about the legendary sons of the Speaker and made them gay for each other.

Everything was perfect before all that woke shit making Osiris gay ass.

This is a great one, probably my favorite season, and I kept the Savior title on until I got Immortal, but Zavala's vanilla D2 trailer is my personal favorite. Wish I could walk the corridors of time again and find my grave. One of the craziest lore moments ever.

This version of Osiris' theme is still my favorite piece of music a D2 trailer has ever had, I love how it sounds. I really wish they did more with Osiris as a character before killing off Sagira & being a disguise for Savathun, 100% my favorite D2 character, he deserved better.

*outside of the original live action. One of these days, more as a fun thought experiment, I’d like to go back thru a bunch of seasons and reimagine if they had got full on big campaigns. Like imagine if we were fighting alongside past us just out of view, BTTF style.

The best trailer that showed the downfall of Osiris, making him gay and turning Saint-14 into a dick sucker, plus that pathetic writer claiming it's his canon. even though they were literally written as Brotherhood and nothing more.

My favourite trailers were of Beyond Light. The fucking built up and the excitement towards Stasis, nothing can ever compare to it.

I didn't forget the giant community event just to give us the Bastion which was already teased in the season pass

Hot take, but Season of the Worthy trailer. yes, it's carried by the music but it's still a great trailer, even if the season itself was mid, at best. though i still love Saint 14's "Wreck them! BREAK THEM!!!"
