I think it’s a tie between this and the first movie. That opening battle with the dude using machamp, Donphan and all them killers but still loses haha. Love this one though.

I watched this movie for the first time in like 10 years when I showed it to my sons, and as soon as I heard the theme start up I had tears in my eyes

The warmth of the animation of these. They know what gives you that feeling

You know, honestly, if you have never seen the gen 2 season, you would forget that Ash's Totadile is the only pokemon he cause in a nonstandard pokeball

Pikachu's head being as hard as Ash's is a nice touch.

Not only is the music great, but it’s animated beautifully. Not much of a surprise for the Pokémon movies, but I can’t help but respect the quality that went into each one. Especially this one.
