In the early 90s a pair of Russian Migs were doing the airshow circuit. At CFB Penhold they ripped the tarmac up all over the place. Hell of a show though.

when you hire your cousin Eddy to resurface the tarmac...

Same issue they ran into with the jet powered Chryslers in the 60's...at a red light it could melt the pavement.

I saw a Jay Leno episode about his car collection, he owns a jet car and that's what he said. It kinda makes sense
