Isn't the story that the producer rang Prince to say there was torrential rain...and Prince's response was 'can you make it rain harder'...few that the word Genius actually applies to...
No other performance is even close
There have been a few half-time shows that were awesome. However, Prince was on an entire different level. Nobody even came close to his. When the skies opened up during Purple Rain....well, says it all. RiP Prince
Prince. Short guy in platforms singing, moving and playing (!) multiple guitars in the rain. Showmanship was defined that night.
