There is no secret button in your TV. The USB port in your TV wasn't meant to be used this way. This is a scam, don't install the apps they are suggesting, especially from untrusted websites, it will probably compromise your privacy/security.

The "secret button" on your TV, says "DC-IN". The security risk of the app has me saying no thanks.

So what does the secret button do?

I’ve been doing a version of this for eight years. Thumb drive to smart TV USB to mp4 videos. My collection now rivals and decently supplements all of my DVDs. This is the TV series that led me to make the discovery.

The USB method to run TVExpress on an LG TV isn't standard. TVExpress is a legitimate app you can download directly from the LG TV Store, making the smartphone connection unnecessary for most users. While the USB workaround might work in some cases, like bypassing region locks, it’s not officially supported and could be unreliable. For the best experience, install TVExpress from the LG Content Store at Be aware of potential content licensing issues with the app, depending on your region.
