Deadlift PR today ☠️💪 405 lbs. 1x1 Absolutely nothing feels better than crushing a new deadlift PR that you missed last week. FOUR OH FAHVE is in the books!!! Kitten update #25: We're starting to let the kittens explore more of the house. The soda cases are blocking the door gap to keep them from escaping, but it's also provided a convenient barrier that Buffy respects so that the door can be open and the kitties can decide whether to engage with her or not. So far, they have enthusiastically chosen YES. Fortunately, Buffy has realized that the face end tastes better than the tail end because it might have some cat food on it. Besides the dog time, they also got to have new experiences with wood floors (soooo slippery!), stairs (fun to leap on), and the robot vacuum (not really that scary but not really making friends either). I suspect the afternoon nap will be extra intense today.

Systems created from racism cannot be reformed. That is why we keep seeing the same thing happen over and over again… with police and with ICE. An unarmed Black man, in Milwaukee, was shot in the head three times after being tased and restrained by five officers. Meanwhile, just 80 miles away, a white man was actively on top of a police officer, assaulting him… and was taken into custody without being shot. We have seen this same disparity play out over and over again. And we will continue to see this happen because… American policing is deeply rooted in systems created to control and hunt down Black populations... and ICE was created from a system rooted in racial exclusion, and the criminalization of immigrants. And we see the consequences of that history every single day. The problem is not just a few bad officers/agents, or a lack of training. The problem is not just that the wrong person was hired… These systems were built on racism. They were built to use state violence against certain people. You cannot reform a system whose foundation is rotten. You cannot train racism out of a system created by racism. You cannot reform your way out of a structure that is operating how it was designed to operate. At some point, we have to stop asking how to make these systems work better… And we have to start asking why we keep defending systems that were never designed to protect people in the first place.

You’re on a journey on this kind of lonely road with your car and your car suddenly develops a fault, You can’t call for help and your lines can’t be reached due to network issues, what do you do? Except the car will stop and the engine won’t come up again, please reduce your speed and accelerate softly till you get to a nearby town, if it is an overheating issue, keep driving, put the gear in the neutral position and switch off the engine and let the car keep moving, switch it back on when you have to ascend a hilly road and the car can’t move freely on its own again. If the battery signal comes up while driving, chances are that your alternator has failed, or the alternator belt is damaged, apply the same method and switch off your AC, radio system or anything that may drain the battery while driving till you get to a safe place. If it is a flat tyre, maintain a low speed till you get to a safe place to change and use your spare, keep moving. Yes!!! Damage that tyre till you get to a safe place, just keep moving and make sure you have a spare tyre always and it is in a good condition. If the engine suddenly goes off on top speed, chances are that a fuse is damaged and this is why I will make a thread on how to identify different fuses and how to have them fixed temporarily in case of Emergencies. If your car jerks or experiences a lazy movement while driving, it’s likely to be a fuel related issue, fuel pump most likely, switch off the engine intermittently and put the gear in Neutral position, keep moving… if the fuel pump rests for about 5mins, it’ll pick up back when you ignite the engine, this will/may at least take you to a safe place or where you can have access to network to make calls. If you hear strange sounds like knocking sounds or the oil signal starts to blink, relax and reduce your speed, keep moving. Manage it till you get to a safe place or can have access to network. If your gear/transmission system isn’t selecting well, apply the same method, reduce your speed but keep moving, slow movement is better than no movement, your life and safety matters a lot. Please note that there are some Mechanical issues that nothing can solve on the road except patience and just to pray to God for safety and help, for example, you run into a pothole unknowingly and the oil pan hits the road and your engine or gear oil leaks away, or your ball joint or tie rod head pulls out, I’ll suggest you leave the car there, roll up your windows and lock up the car and start trekking till you get network or help, staying with the car may make you vulnerable to attacks or attract unexpected company, just keep walking away from the car for safety. Mark McVeigh personifies the greatness Essendon has within & he saw firsthand what it takes to get to the pinnacle. “Remember how bad this feels & go do something about it!” Do any of the players take enough pride & responsibility in their own performance to go that extra mile? Do they have the capability/willingness to sacrifice, nail their nutrition & leaving no stone unturned? Lastly, are they prepared to train well beyond what’s expected at an elite level, not just the bare minimum? Will they battle harder than ever before to become better players? That’s routinely catching up with coaches (beyond the mandatory) watching endless film & create a killer’s mentality that’s willing fight even harder when the deck is stacked against us? There’s so much passion Mark McVeigh can bring to the table, & given he was GWS’ caretaker role when Leon Cameron left, he’s developed a strong set of skills outside the Essendon four walls. He’s not some kind of blindly naive first-time head coach who’ll be out of his depth. He’ll add so much to our coaching panel: whether it’s as the head coach or as a key assistant. But how do you see the others shake out over the next five years? Make some guesses. But remember what an AI pioneer told me years ago about AI: it's all about the data. The Chinese ones have huge advantages: the Chinese have more data on their citizens, and many more citizens to boot AND they can make robots cheaper than we can. But now that you know OpenAI is building its own robot you have caught wind of what I've heard from many in San Francisco and Silicon Valley: that humanoid robots are the real prize of AI and will be highly profitable for those that can make them and find customers willing to buy them. Here, too, I learned long ago never to bet against Elon Musk. Will you?

And with that, the US Open dream is over 😞 Just wrapped up U.S. Open local qualifying at Medford Village Country Club Didn’t quite have my best stuff off the tee today—and on a course this tight, that’s a problem. When I did find fairways, I couldn’t get it close enough to give myself real chances. Greens were absolutely rapid if you were out of position… borderline terrifying at times 😅 but I did hole some really good putts to grind out pars and keep the round alive. Only one birdie all day though, and that’s never going to get it done at this level. Finished +3 (75) — currently 37th out of 120 (top third of the field), so there are still some positives to take. Battled well, stayed patient, and didn’t let it completely get away from me—which is something I’m trying to get better at in these events. One qualifier down, one more to go in June for The Open Championship. Plenty of work to do before then—tighten up the driver, sharpen the wedges, and turn a few of those pars into birdies. Another opportunity coming… and I’ll be ready to give it a proper run 👊 Thanks as always to Shot Scope for the wonderful stats!!

I find it interesting that smart people like Joe Rogan and Chris Williamson CONSTANTLY attack the redpill/manosphere, but NEVER actually have someone on from the genre to correct gross mischaracterizations. Instead they will bring on Dr. David Buss or Jordan Peterson. Both men are very intelligent. They can tell you the scientific THEORY of the female mating strategy, but can't actually explain how its personified by modern women TODAY via social media, dating apps, social circle, and other means. I can confidently say there is no one on social media that understands female nature, psychology, AND modern woman dating practices better than myself. I'm able to blend the psychology and match it up with the real time dating market, which is vastly different than when Rogan or Chris were single. Rollo Tomassi is also fantastic at explaining female psychology. The 2 of use have removed the feminine mystique women used to have a decided advantage in the mating game. If Joe Rogan or Chris Williamson are going to keep criticizing us, the least they can do is have a conversation and let the audience decide.

Everyone thought he was crazy for quitting his finance job to sell ice cream. Today, his novelty brand is available in 5,000+ stores, including Whole Foods, Erewhon, Bristol Farms, and The Fresh Market. Here's how to do the same: Step 1: Find the big idea David's advice: Ask yourself what's missing? - Look around at the way you live - Write down the products you love - Ask yourself: what would improve my quality of life? How can I make something that is 5-10x better than what exists? For David, the missing thing was a way to satisfy his sweet tooth with portion controlled & snackable products like Nestle’s Dibs. As someone who was lactose-intolerant and had issues with dairy, there weren't many options. And so, his dream snack, Dream Pops, was born! Step 2. Make your prototype David's advice: It doesn't have to be perfect. In the early days, David was making samples in his mom's kitchen by hand. One thing entrepreneurs get wrong? Trying to launch something perfect. If you're prototyping a food product, follow his advice: - Create a delicious and unique product - Differentiate with your packaging & branding - Iterate in small format grocery stores and get feedback from your customers before launching into national accounts Step 3. Put your product out there David's advice: Get your product in as many hands as possible—any way you can. Some ideas: - Host pop-ups with like-minded brands. Some brick and mortar brands were willing to pay $5K-$10K for a tailored “ice cream social”’ event with custom packaging. Those are your golden nuggets. Step 4. Scale thoughtfully David's advice: Don't get tempted by a big retailer with thousands of stores out the gate. Getting into a huge retailer can kill your business if you aren’t ready. Don't chase revenue and door count. Consider profitability, product quality, and overall risk. Some retailers require you to pay "slotting" where you spend $50K to $150K+ to be on the shelf for eight months. If you don't perform? You're out. The risk is massive and can put you out of business before you have the opportunity to flourish. Instead, find independent grocery stores and regional grocers with 3-10 locations and scale slowly – laser-focused on profitability and velocity. Blue-Green Algae at Red Bud Isle☠️🐶 Austin, TX - Austin Watershed Protection staff have observed thick mats of blue-green algae, some of which may be toxic, notably near Red Bud Isle on Lady Bird Lake and at Walsh Boat Landing on Lake Austin. Samples were collected at all six monitoring sites on the lakes for testing. At this time of year, blue-green algae mats may be present in other parts of either lake and our creeks. Community members should be cautious and avoid contact with algae. They should keep dogs away from water with algae mats. The mats usually look like dark blobs floating on the surface and can be mixes of different kinds of algae. They may be mixed in with aquatic vegetation. As the weather continues to heat up, conditions for algae will become more favorable, and we expect to see more in our waterways. Assess Before You Enter Waterways If any of the following conditions are present, stay out of the water. They could indicate reduced water quality. •Algae along the shoreline •Stagnant, warm or murky water •Scum or surface film. In addition, do not enter the water if there has been rain in the past three days. After Entering the Water •Do not drink water directly from natural water bodies. •Avoid contact with algae. •Rinse skin, hair, and animal fur thoroughly after contact with water. •Do not allow pets to lick their fur before rinsing them off. If you or your pet experiences sudden, unexplained illness after swimming, contact your medical provider or veterinarian immediately. Residents are encouraged to report suspected human or animal illnesses related to algae using the City’s online reporting form. Why did they have a loophole like this in the first place? We should have had laws like this years ago to finally stop grave site robbers and vandalism. An Ohio bill seeks to create a felony offense for taking items or decorations from a gravesite This woman was so devastated by the cruelty of others I am hurt, angry, and heartbroken. Today, I went to my son’s gravesite at Green Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, and what I found brought me to tears. Everything I put out there is gone. Every flower, every decoration, every piece of love I placed to honor his memory... all of it is missing. To make things worse, the metal vase that’s built into the headstone has been broken off. How could this even happen? It’s all metal and connected to the stone. There is no way this could come apart on its own. On top of that, his gravestone is sinking into the ground on the front side. After all the money, time, and care I’ve invested to make sure his resting place was beautiful and respected, this is unacceptable. I have tried calling, leaving message after message, and I will keep calling until I reach someone who can explain what happened. Families should not have to endure this kind of heartbreak and disrespect. This isn’t just about missing items… It’s about respect. Respect for my son’s memory. Respect for grieving families. If the ball goes to Angel Reese in the post, immediately double and triple team her. No one player can stop her. 2. If a shot goes up, send FOUR BODIES to surround ANGEL REESE. No one player will keep her off the boards. No TWO players will keep her off the boards. We’ve TRIED that. ————————————————- I’ve attached two video clips from last night’s game: Clip 1: The ball goes to Angel Reese in the post. She is immediately triple-teamed. Why on God’s green EARTH would a WNBA team TRIPLE-TEAM a player who SUCKS?!!! Great question. Clip 2: A shot goes up. FOUR PLAYERS from the Minnesota Lynx ALL crash around Angel Reese, just as the team had discussed during their team planning sessions.
