Between Mariah Carey And Monique What A SCENE😭

Mariah is so good and realistic in this scene, it’s almost as if she really didn’t know what was gonna be said! When Monique said “it’s this bitches fault”, Mariah legitimately looks shocked! And when she turned and wiped the tears, I believe she was really crying

They killed this!! The whole cast just ate. I'd never watch this movie again but I'll always remember how good everyone was

Precious was so good but sadder to watch as I got older 😩

Mariah didn’t get enough recognition for her role in this movie. She showcased herself in a way nobody had ever seen before

“Since u got ur degree. And since u know every fuckin thing.” I quote this line often

Great acting but that is a movie I only needed to see once. 😢

@mwills_nc I always forget that Precious was sitting there the whole time.

Also the “well who was gonna love me” line makes my skin crawl every time. Such a nasty thing to say.

Sadly there are women like this out there. :(.

For me, the thing about this scene is that it's what most likely secured the Oscar for Monique. It's a powerful performance. Mariah could've easily been overshadowed and chewed up in the scene, but she stood toe to toe with Monique and delivered a strong and nuanced performance
