‼️“Dogs were unleashed on us to r*pe us.” Muhammad Zaki al-Bakri says he was abducted from Hamad Town in Khan Younis on 4 March 2024 and held for about 20 months in Israeli occupation custody. He recounts what he describes as the most severe forms of torture during Eid al-Fitr 2024, saying occupation soldiers stormed the area where he and other Palestinian hostages were detained, accompanied by dogs, and gave a signal before setting them upon the prisoners. According to his testimony, he and six others were stripped of their clothes and subjected to sexual assault and humiliation while Israeli occupation soldiers watched and laughed. He says that some Israeli occupation soldiers carried objects used to further abuse detainees as they cried and screamed without help. His account adds to mounting testimonies from former Palestinian hostages from both Gaza and the West Bank who describe torture, sexual violence and degrading treatment inside Israeli occupation detention facilities since the start of the genocide on Gaza.
