Work in progress by GAIL (India) Limited for laying the Mumbai-Nagpur section of natural gas pipeline which is an integral part of the Mumbai-Nagpur-Jharsuguda project. This pipeline is a part of the National Gas Grid, designed to enhance energy distribution and availability across the country. Energy Maharatna Indian Oil Corp Ltd has commenced first domestic production from the Jyoti-1 well in Block CB-ONN-2005/9 at the IUVL site in Gujarat on 14th Nov 2025. Crude oil and natural gas imports have been strategically diversified across multiple regions, significantly reducing dependence on any single supplier. The govt has also demonstrated its ability to rapidly scale up LPG production during previous crises while steadily expanding the piped natural gas network, a long-term strategy that reduces reliance on LPG cylinders and strengthens India's energy security. At the same time, India's domestic oil and gas exploration and production are set to increase further as part of the Modi Government's vision of achieving greater energy self-reliance. With diversified sourcing, expanding domestic production, and a proven ability to respond effectively during periods of disruption, India is well positioned to navigate continued volatility arising from the situation in Iran under the steady leadership of PM Modi Ji. A decade of Swachhata! #10YearsOfSwachhBharat The clarion call for cleanliness given by PM Narendra Modi Ji in his first speech from the ramparts of the Red Fort in 2014 transformed into one of the world’s largest Jan Andolans as Swachh Bharat Mission completes ten glorious years! Under the leadership of PM Modi Ji, cleanliness has become an integral part of every Indian’s conscience. The India Growth Story which is resonating around the world is being confidently underlined by achievements of the energy sector particularly defined by the transition towards green fuels, thrust on exploration and production, augmenting capacities in both upstream & downstream segments and the focus on increasing natural gas in our energy mix from 6% to 15% under the dynamic leadership of PM Narendra Modi Ji. The growth in the number of LPG connections in the country during the Modi Decade has been spectacular. Till April 2014, with just little more than 14 crore LPG connections, spread largely around urban centres, about 44% households did not have access to LPG connections. Today, the country has more than 33 crore LPG connections including more than 10.33 crore #PMUjjwala connections transforming the lives of millions of our sisters & giving them clean & pollution free kitchens in both urban and rural areas of the country. We have achieved near saturation in terms of covering the households. PM-Ujjwala, which prioritises rural development, women empowerment, a healthy society, a clean environment, and social inclusion, has also expanded the distributor network system. In just a decade, the number of distributors in rural areas has grown by an impressive 83.46% while the bottling capacity has risen by 73.50%. This has also increased direct and indirect employment opportunities for the people around these installations. As India continues ahead on its impressive growth trajectory, the fruits of development are benefiting every section of the society.
