Oh come on President Donald J. Trump. The US can take a lot of credit for a lot of things, but trying to take credit for the Iron Dome is just so stupid. Overall I’m a fan, but just stop. The Iron Dome is an Israeli-developed system led by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, with Daniel Gold as the most prominently credited individual leader and driving force behind its creation. He’s recognized as the father of the Iron Dome. The US collaborated and funded parts once it was developed but it’s an Israeli invention. What’s the point of trying to take credit for it? What’s the point of saying it? The US gets more than 10x the financial benefit and return on any money given to Israel, which is unprecedented. The US has the manufacturing capability for many things. But with respect to inventions, Israel is king on that, and as an ally you should be proud of that, not trying to take credit for what has nothing to do with you.
