Bible alone is Christianity It is God’s message to mankind. Jesus was furious with The Pharisees adding to the Word The Catholic Church does the same thing. Traditions of men

When the tradition you affirm is one that contradicts the scriptures how are we to be expected to believe that yours is the same tradition that these scriptures confirm?

Absolutely. Sola Scriptura isn’t just unbiblical…it’s self-defeating. The Bible never says “Bible alone,” but it does affirm the Church as “the pillar and foundation of truth” (1 Tim 3:15).

The Bible was written way before the third century. If he lies about that how can I believe anything else he says? Satan knows scripture better than you and will try to use it to distract you from God.

Please have eg. @DrJordanBCooper on the show to debate sola scriptura so that it gets an accurate presentation instead of this straw man.

It really doesnt help catholic/protestant conversation to misunderstand their position. Im not sola scriptura and even i know this not the argument. Sola scriptura doesnt mean "you only need the bible" it simply means the bible is the only infallible authority. The church is an authority but not infallible. The books of the bible were generally agreed upon for quite some time before the council of nicea

Incorrect, 2 Timothy 3:16 says All Scripture is “FULLY equipped for every good work” The traditions were referring to the ones of Jesus and his apostles, not post-Biblical tradition Terrible take

Our Lord gave us a Church. The God-ordained authority of the “Church of the living God”, the “Pilar and foundation of Truth.” “if he will not listen even to the Church, let him be to you like a Pagan" Matthew 18:17 “Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.” Luke 10:16

No knowledgeable Protestant says “the Bible is all we need”; Sola Scriptura means the Bible is the only infallible rule, not the only thing we need. The NIV was the only translation that put “teachings” for traditions. JKV, NASB, ESV, all have traditions. They were written down

Did Jesus hold to sola scriptura? Or did he accept what the religious leaders taught: scripture, traditions, interpretations? If we’re to walk as Jesus walked, how should we view these things in light of his example?
