After Australia’s five-year hard border shutdown on immigration, we could consider a UAE-style approach to foreigners working in Australia. In the UAE, you can live, work, invest and contribute but citizenship isn’t handed out like a sample bag. It’s protected. It’s inherited. It’s born, not bureaucratically “earned.” Australia can do the same. No automatic pathway to citizenship. No “do five years and get a passport.” No mass naturalisation used as a political strategy. After the pause, residency might reopen but citizenship stays with only those born into the Australian story. It protects cultural cohesion. It stabilises the population. It stops the demographic churn that Canberra pretends is “economic growth.” If the UAE can unapologetically protect its national identity, Australia can too. It’s expected that, as a direct result of mass migration, the population of Australia will reach 30 million by 2031. The Labor Government have got no intention of moving the needle on the issue. Only this week, Albo was claiming that net migration of a quarter of a million every year is a good level, and the numbers in the recent budget were predicated on mass migration continuing long into the future. The Coalition parties are little better on this. It’s a bit rich seeing Liberal MPs claiming they stand for controlled migration when their recent record was one of out-of-control mass migration. More and more voters are rightly connecting mass migration with changes in their communities, particularly the direct impact on housing affordability that has been proven by a number of studies. There is one political party in Australia that stands unequivocally for a decisive break from the mass migration of recent years: One Nation. Any other party will simply deliver more of the same.
