Every time a new promoter/network comes into the space, they are going to overpay initially. For that period of time, other promoters and networks still need to compete with them, so they are going to have to overpay for some fighters or risk losing a ton of talent. This is why it's so hard for the market to correct itself because somebody will just come in every few years and mess it up even more

It won't last is exactly it. DAZN and the promoters know that. But for now they have to compete with SELA/Zuffa which = overpaying. At some point, it won't carry on and then we'll see where the two are. TKO is heavily reliant on Saudi money cause these purses are completely against their business model. If the Saudis aren't funding it, and TKO by that point aren't in a dominant market position, it's not looking good.
