The translator Anton Hur shared a story about how RM “saves” the Korean literature and about his impact on publishers and sales. 👦🏻 My favorite live-saving, Namjoon story that I have is that…so a long time ago, I picked up this book by Lee Seong Bok about their aphorisms, about his poetry writing, about his poetics. It’s a very obscure topic, who reads about poetics?! But I read this book, it’s called ‘Indeterminate Inflorescence’ and I loved it! I was like, ‘Oh this is the life book, it’s like it contains all of my artistic ambitions in this one book but no one is going to publish it because no one is going to allow me to translate a book about Korean poetics so but I did find one publisher, it’s not even in New York, it’s in Seattle…And one tiny publisher that said ‘Okay, we’ll publish this book’, and then, a month before this book was supposed to come out, Namjoon posted about the aphorisms by Lee Seong Bok and when I saw that I thought like the angels were singing in the heaven and like manna was raining on me…I could not believe that this was happening and then like the first print got sold out, the second, the third got sold out. This tiny book that you know, it wasn’t a hit in Korea, it was like completely obscure. When I mentioned in Korea people were like ‘Lee Seong Bok wrote a book about aphorisms?’ like even if they know who Lee Seong Bok is…And now we have a, I think they’ll allow me to announce it but we have a deal for Lee Seong Bok’s poetry collection that summer’s end, that also Namjoon posted so I’m just so grateful to RM for saving Korean literature! 🔗 🔗 #RM #방탄소년단RM #김남준 #BTSRM

Trump: I'm looking at the screen, I'm seeing this 20 story huge tube pouring down on fire at, you know, fires pouring out of it and it used to be white, but the heat is thousands of degrees coming down, they say thousands and thousands, so it's been beat up in that trip down, and I see this massive tube is coming down and the fire is burning and bright was exploding all over the place, I said, oh my God, this is terrible, it’s gonna crash, what the hell is it? I wasn't even sure. Maybe it was a movie but I'm looking to the news and I see it and then all of a sudden it's going to hit the gantry and toom, a flame comes out of the left and pushes it over like it was nothing. And then, and then these two giant arms come, they envelop it like a beautiful, I won't say it, I get myself into too much trouble when I say that stuff. I'd like to, but I'm not going to, because I'm going to be politically correct if you don't mind. You know what Elon says? Like two giant chopsticks. Wouldn’t I be better off if I said that, wouldn't that Mr. Wall? This guy is the greatest guy

It's not something I like to talk about. But the academic presentation of AI risk is just not working. We need real human emotion in this debate. When we say we're all going to die if we don't change course, and our faces don't show it, it doesn't connect.

Incredible last few minutes of the Rick Rubin / Adam Neumann interview. I got chills listening to this. --- Adam: We'll connected to this week's portion. We all have something that we're slaves to. We all have an addiction to anger, to ego, to power, whatever it is, idol worship that we have. We all have an Egypt. We all need to leave that Egypt, come out of it. When we come out of that Egypt, we all face a Red Sea. When we see that Red Sea, we all need to have the courage to walk into it so far that we drown. Only when we're willing to drown will the Red Sea be split and we'll go to our next level. We then go to our next level. We see the Red Sea split. Suddenly we're like, oh, everything is okay. And we forget. The moment we forget, we step into the desert. We all have to walk through our version of desert. That desert is between us, us, and God. No one else. The only decision we get to have is how long we're going to journey through that desert. Are we going to journey for 14 days like the children of Israel were supposed to? Or are we going to journey for 40 years because we're not learning our lesson? Our choice is not, are we going to get into the desert or not? It's how long will we be in. And once we go out of that desert, we all have our version of the promised land. And if we have the courage to look inside, see our own correction, our own limitation, look at it clearly now and say, I see you, and I'm going to get over it. I'm going to learn. I'm going to grow. I'm going to understand that life is not about falling down. It's about how I'm going to get up. I'm going to fall 1,000 times so I can get up 1,001 times. And in that last time when I get up and I'm actually ready to go to my next level, I'm going to wish for you, for me, and for everybody who are listening — please, may we have the courage to go to our next level because we know that the promised land is waiting right after it. And may we not be afraid when the whole world is saying this or that about us. Who cares? It's about what you think, what your wife thinks, what your kids think, and what the universe thinks.
