This man decided to get his repairs done by someone who can do it cheaper and ended up almost doubling his repair bill just to try to save himself $400. Back in 2003 I had someone hit and run my new car. The rear bumper needed replaced, it was barely hanging on by a thread. I was new to how insurance worked and decided to have it fixed out of pocket. I shopped around and most shops were pretty close in price except for one. The owner was very arrogant and spoke about how he was the best around and I would be silly to take it anywhere else for my repairs. After I got the car back, I noticed that he did not do any prep work at all, how he got the part was how he painted it. There was a parts sticker on the bumper and he painted right over it. He didn’t even check the paint code. He saw a black bumper and proceeded to paint it black even though the paint didn’t match. When I confronted him about how unhappy I was about the steps he didn’t do, he defended his work by saying I didn’t specify I wanted it prepped. He blamed me for his shortcomings. Initially he even refused to refund me but ended up refunding me the money minus the cost of the wrong shade paint.

Why am I not even surprised by this, I’m afraid if more and teachers have this epiphany then we won’t have any left to teach our kids. This woman used to be a teacher with a master’s degree. I can’t imagine devoting that much time and money to a profession only to find out I could make more just working a normal job. I think more and more that higher education is possibly turning into a scam. Growing up I was always told to focus on school, get an education and I will soar. Not too long after that I found out that wasn’t the case. I don’t even use my degree at all, I got it because I was told by my parents I had to. I worked two jobs while in school so I could graduate without debt, only to put it on the wall and forget about it. I later on went the family business route anyways as I always planned on doing. I feel I was pressured and sold a pipe dream that a degree would be the answer to anything financial for me, that it would unlock possibilities. For me, it closed many doors, many employers saw me as being overqualified. The turning point for me was when I used to go to a hotel with co-workers after work and I got to know my server. Turned out he had a degree in a similar field to mine and he was waiting on tables and in massive student debt because of it. I can tell the college dream turned into a nightmare for him. To spend thousands and not be able to use it to recoup my money would make me feel like the biggest fool around. I felt like if anyone came by to sell me magic beans, I would have a beanstalk in my yard. While not using my degree worked for me, there are so many more others that can’t say the same.

#JAYB on leaving jype 🌴 i talked a lot with jinyoung hyung and also with wook hyung. back then, they always told me that i was being protected because i was under the big umbrella that is jyp. they said things like that a lot. but it felt like that umbrella was blocking my view of the world, so i thought, i want to go out and get rained on too, and that’s why i left. but the rain was so harsh. it was so harsh. you’re free, but that also means you’re the one responsible for the outcome of those choices. i’m the one who has to take responsibility for it. that’s why, even now, i still call jinyoung hyung or the boss (wook) to tell them i’m thankful

🐰 we covered almost 1… 🐿️ about 15 songs 🐰 we covered about 15-16 songs in three days 🦊 it was more intense than any other concert prep we’ve ever had 🐰 exactly, that’s right 🐰 i thought we’d only do the highlight or the chorus but 🧸🐰 we even did whole verses 🦊 we did the real deal 🐰 that’s right and it was fun too 🐿️ do you guys have any behind stories? 🐿️ it was the first time in a long time, the practice room was that chaotic 🐰🧸 that’s right 🐿️ three songs would play at the same time 🐧 each member had one person 🦊 we have 5 people in the performance direction team so each of them was paired with one of us to give us a solo lesson 🐰 that’s right 🧸 our practice room is usually really big…i never knew it was that small 🐰 we’d be like “get away, this is my spot!” 🧸 “please give me spot 1” (*the numbering on the mirror walls) 🦊 our lesson times would also go by so fast 🧸🐧 that’s right 🦊 we’d completely fill up the time 🧸 it still didn’t feel like enough to me 🦊🐿️ yeah 🦊 it was really confusing even up until we went on stage today 🐰 yeah it was
