Interesting development - I was told numerous stories about what happened yesterday at Crosby. One being it was a group of Asian men attacking teenage girls. Some as young as 14. I dismissed it as rumours and told people to watch out for racism. People unfairly targeting Asians and making lies up about them. But I’ve just been sent this. Now unless there is a conspiracy to frame them. It’s now looking like this is the case. The only other possibility is that this was 2 separate incidents. But either way we can’t live in peace with savages who do this on a public beach in front of families. I don’t want to speculate. So I’m going to bite my tongue on this for the time being in case I’m wrong. It has since been confirmed that teenage girls have been attacked with a bladed item. But the attacker has not been confirmed. I’m currently speaking to the Echo to work out what’s going on.

Residents of Shenoy Nagar, which falls under the Anna Nagar constituency, are jumping in joy because the TASMAC bar on First Cross Street (allegedly owned by a DMK-linked strongman), which had been a major nuisance and headache for residents for years, has finally been shut down. Despite repeated complaints from residents over the years, and despite the proximity to a girls’ school, no serious effort was allegedly made earlier to shut it down. This TASMAC outlet had effectively become a permanent stench point in an otherwise decent residential neighborhood. Respectable families avoided using that road altogether whether for walking, riding, or even driving. People allegedly consumed alcohol openly outside the TASMAC shop, on roadsides, near parked vehicles, and in full public view. The bar reportedly had no proper toilet facilities, which led to the unbearable urine stench that engulfed the area for years. For any decent resident, the entire stretch had become an eyesore and a public-health nuisance. Finally, it has now been shut down. This is yet another testament to the resolve shown by CMOTamilNadu to crack down on TASMAC bars located near schools, colleges, hospitals, residential zones, and places of worship. In a rare move,Jathedar Sahib of Sri Akal Takht Sahib issuing a statement in English on Henry Nowak’s case proves the importance of any language in today’s world to communicate to the people concerned in their own language. It drives home the point how important it’s to have fairly good knowledge of Hindi in India that has abt 80% Hindu community. Secondly, good to see Jathedar Sahib clearing the air abt convict Vickrum Singh Digwa being a Sikh as some people are now claiming him to be otherwise. I always believe owning a wrong on behalf of the community is bravery. Thirdly, glad to see Jathedar Sahib upholding the prominence of law. But then is summoning of lawmakers to Sri Akal Takht Sahib for their non-personal discharge of constitutional functions and imposing on them any sort of ‘punishment’ (Tankhva) justified? Clarification is requested pls. Fourthly, Sikhs have been freely exercising their rights of freedom of religion but isn’t misuse of any article of faith bound to raise questions? The crime happened in the UK, legal action followed there resulting in punishment there only. Don’t people have a right to condemn it? I think they have. I am sure it’s in the knowledge of Jathedar Sahib how sometimes our ‘Articles of Faith’ are misused by some people even at our own religious places (Video attached). I am not aware if there has been any condemnation of such beadbis. Whether it was a Persian Dagger or a Kirpan, doesn’t the fact remain that the convict carried and claimed it as his article of faith and committed a crime with that? Technicalities won’t help. Nor does it minimise the gravity of the gruesome crime. I will however be glad to know the definition of a Sikh Kirpan for any future reference.

Over the past week, following the directive of the political echelon and the recommendation of the IDF, three out of four aid distribution centers in Gaza operated by the American GHF foundation have begun operating. The American organization has deployed hundreds of staff including distributors, ushers, truck drivers, and security personnel to deliver food packages to residents in the Rafah area (Tel al-Sultan and the Morag route) and south of the Netzarim corridor in central Gaza. Israel continues to refuse to comment on the funding of the American initiative, which is being led by the Prime Minister’s Office and his military secretary, Maj. Gen. Roman Gofman, while fully excluding the Defense Ministry and COGAT. In recent days, Israel has declined to disclose information on how the American company is being funded, how salaries are paid to its workers, and whether the food supplies might be funded by Israeli taxpayers. Israeli officials say the centers are designed to serve up to 1.2 million Gazans by distributing weekly food packages to families. The distribution is being carried out by American workers, as instructed by IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi, while Israeli soldiers secure the areas from a distance. The defense establishment plans to build four more distribution centers. According to Israel, the program is based on two key goals: first, cutting Hamxs off from humanitarian aid; and second, separating the population from Hamxs. The ultimate aim is to cripple Hamxs’ ability to govern and break its connection with the civilian population, making clear they no longer need it. Israeli officials say that for months, Hamxs has been running a cynical disinformation campaign against the plan, pushing a false narrative that the aid effort is part of an Israeli conspiracy to “displace” Gaza’s population. After the launch of the distribution centers under American security management, Hamxs took steps to intimidate the public, including threats and roadblocks to prevent people from reaching the sites. Despite this, security officials say residents are flocking to the centers in large numbers. In recent days, tens of thousands of people arrived at the distribution sites, where 35,000 food packages were handed out, each enough to support a family for five to seven days.
