Water won’t be big deal for Diesel engines and their air inlet filters are higher than water level, EVs have higher IP than diesel cars so that EVs probably won’t stop as well. The problem is gasoline engines as their spark plugs are not so protective as diesel engine doesn’t have! Anyway; diesel engines are heavy-duty industrial engines.

It’s called hydrolocking the engine. Unfortunately I know what this feels like lol. Was late for work and chanced it. When the lights on the dashboard go out and you’re like faaaaaaaaaaacck

Quick solution, Look for the Engine Air filter. It's likely wet from the splash. Remove it & start the car. But you need to replace it with a new one as fast as possible to avoid engine damage. Being wet feels like an individual with their nose covered. You can't breath.

Just put it in rice
