As MP for Aberdeen South what are you doing about the destruction of the Oil & Gas industry that is so important to livelihoods in your constituency?

Fighting for the workforce 👍🏻

@StephenFlynnSNP Wait until the horse has bolted then blame someone else

NO Stephen ❌ We don’t want anymore of them ..

Moronic Nobody wanted these non recyclable expensive bird and sealife killing Chinese slave Labour made - diesel using monstrosities The world is waking up to the horror of wind Nobody wants it Just lunatics like yourself Thrown to the wind

Clearly not an Oil and Gas fanatic anymore.

It is possible to want both industries to have a future so we actually protect jobs and Aberdeen’s economy into the long term.

It would be fine if that was the case Stephen. The Oil and Gas industry has basically been thrown to the side. The so called transition is a joke. There’s literally no protection of jobs.

Well some of us are doing our best to argue for that future and haven’t stopped doing so at any point 👍🏻

The problem is you jumped in with the greens and had to go along with their agenda in the first place to remain in power. That was the first nail (of many) in the coffin.

@StephenFlynnSNP What does Stephen and the SNP have to do to convince people like you that they support oil and gas workers, and the north east economy?

@StephenFlynnSNP They could stop the nonsense that every job is transferable. There’s probably an average of 120-150 people working on the rigs everyday. They could have shut down the greens and not just used them as a vehicle to stay in power. They could actually promote the O&G industry.

So why do people in Aberdeen still pay electric bills? Theres no point creating "free energy" and the peoples bills still double and triple! Who's benefiting from all this "free energy"?!

You on @DaleVince s payroll as well

You’re right, you’re all fanatics and quite mad. Dangerous for the future prosperity of Scotland. Aberdeen in particular. It will be one desperate place when you’ve finished with it.

Yeh! That’s going to look great you fucking moron. Chinese manufactured eyesore with a 25 year life span. Bird Collisions: Seabirds, such as gannets, kittiwakes, and puffins, face collision risks with turbine blades. The proposed Berwick Bank wind farm is estimated to cause thousands of seabird deaths annually, prompting opposition from conservation groups like RSPB Scotland. Species like gulls, skuas, and northern gannets are particularly vulnerable due to their flight heights. Seabirds and marine mammals avoid wind farm areas, leading to habitat loss. Divers and common scoters are highly susceptible to displacement, potentially affecting their feeding and breeding success. Underwater Noise: Operational turbines produce low-frequency vibrations transmitted through the foundation, which affect marine mammals’ communication, navigation and feeding. EMFs: Operational cables continue to emit EMFs, potentially affecting sensitive species.

Joker. Wind turbines are destroying wildlife. Not a good move.

Have a day off impoverishing us, Stephen.

Why is it not bringing down the cost of electricity?

Which one of your party got a back hander for those approvals👀

Ugly blots on the landscape that kill wildlife and don’t work if there is too much wind and have to be heavily subsidised by us, the taxpayer. Bloody marvellous…not.

No one does you moron. You’ve all been schooled by Trump and here you are like a pansy turbine fanboy rattling on about the ugliest most inefficient source of power. Thick AF!

Yes Stephen but it won't be a Scottish company manufacturing those 307 turbines nor the cables that connect them to shore nor probably the foundations they sit on or the transformers & switch gear. The Scottish industrial benefit will sweet FA......

Windmill scam is rife with this one

They are a frigging eye sore! Lining your own pockets you fraud.

The SNP hasn't actually done anything except approve the wind farm. Now they get to be smug about how good Scotland is while simultaneously claiming that the evil English are stealing ooor energy.

This is horse shit and I haven't even listened to it. No doubt yet more wind turbines. However for private commercial company's ££££ and the price of electricity still goes up for Scots. The Grievence part Westminster the English the Torys. Well its a change from Gaza.

We have wasted £711.5 million in 2025 so far switching turbines off .. and you want more of them I wonder why 🤷🏻♀️

Let's make sure independence is at the forefront of next year's elections.

Firstly, they are not 'mills', learn basic English.

@ClaireCoutinho is 100% correct You’re just following Mad Ed ..

If Trump wasn’t such a vociferous opponent of wind farms these idiots wouldn’t give two fucks about them. There is zero doubt in my mind that much of the SNP’s efforts to destroy the nation’s coastlines are nothing more than sheer malice.

The supply chain for windmills is terrible. Its one of the most wasteful and hazardous by-products of any power output. What a con. it's certainly sold as cleaner and more virtuous than it really is. Manufacturing & Materials Rare Earths & Mining: Wind turbines, especially the ones using permanent magnets in their generators, often rely on rare earth elements like neodymium and dysprosium. Mining and refining these in countries like China causes devastating environmental damage—toxic waste lakes, radioactive runoff, child labour accusations, the lot. Steel & Fibreglass: Massive quantities of steel and fibreglass are needed. Steel production is highly carbon-intensive, and fibreglass blades are notoriously hard to recycle—many end up buried in giant landfills once they reach end-of-life. Logistics Nightmare Transporting turbine parts—especially the enormous blades and towers—is logistically complex and requires huge diesel-burning convoys. These components often travel thousands of miles, from Asian factories to Western wind farms. End-of-Life Waste Turbine blades last ~20–25 years. Once retired, most are not recyclable with current tech. Many are chopped up and landfilled because they’re made of composite materials that are hard to process. Hazards & Externalities Wildlife impacts (like bird and bat deaths) are real, even if often overstated for political purposes. Noise and shadow flicker affect nearby residents, and there’s still debate around the long-term health effects. Subsidy-driven overbuilding can lead to curtailment (wasting excess energy) and grid instability if storage or baseload backup isn’t in place.

They shouldn’t be allowed. They kill birds and the constant undersea hum confuses marine mammals and drives them insane with many beaching themselves.

No independent science has been done re EMF cables. Where's there's a wind farm there's no fish. You're playing with Mother Nature and she will rebel. You mark my words.

And the most expensive energy in the world

Expect lots of dead whales to wash up. Also your bird population will shrink. Idiot.

You need locking up in a secure unit with demented Eddie. We have gas and oil in the North Sea but you would rather us all pay higher bills to support the ecomentalists Shame on you

Labour are determined to kill our birds and wildlife. Vile party.
