The lady who did mine as I have dense breasts as well, said she loved you, as I told her that I finally went in after seeing/reading your post. She said that she gets “Katie Couric a lot from women coming in” 👏👏👏

My daughter was diagnosed with Breast Cancer (tripple negative) at 38 in 2014. With great treatment from Seattle Cancer Care Alliance #SCCA, she has been Cancer free for years.

I submitted my comments and concerns about #overdiagnosis of #DCIS from mammography as well as #underdiagnosis of invasive cancer in dense breast tissue. Women need to be properly informed of both benefits and harms with easy-to-understand info-graphics

Hi, extremely dense breast Kelly here, a radiologist in a high risk category myself - I'm so grateful that Katie is shedding light on this topic. My 25 yr experience supports supplemental screening for everyone with dense breasts. I won't back down on this.

Weird my PC told me almost two yrs ago to get a mammogram at age 40 and my insurance covered it. I didn't realize this was a new recommendation!

Totally agree, Katie! Women with dense breasts need earlier screening. I was diagnosed at 34.

I had a mammogram done 12 days ago. Very dense, found a mass. Ultrasound in 15 days. Scared to death.

I commented. I think screening should start at 30 or 35.
