I put together some video of a local mall in Beijing, NOT Sanlitun, to show folks that Christmas is VERY much being celebrated here. Recently, a well known fool, who lived in China a decade ago made a video where he claimed, from 8,000 miles away that "Christmas is cancelled." Face-palm for those who believe this guy. So, this video serves to: 1. Demonstrate with first hand video, taken by me, today on December 24th, that Christmas is openly celebrated in Beijing and in China. 2. That people should NOT TRUST someone on China, who hasn't lived in China fore years, and years. Please unsubscribe from his idiotic content. Do small villages in China celebrate Christmas, likely not. In the same way as Chinese New Year is likely not celebrated much in small towns in the US. Does it mean America has cancelled Chinese New Year in America if people in Smallville USA don't celebrate Chinese New Year? No. Every large city in China has Christmas decor up everywhere. Why? It's good for business! People will buy more junk if there's some cute reason. And yes, Churches all over China will be having mass. Am I big on Christmas? Not really. 🚨#BreakingNews Thurston County judge blocks law allowing state commission to decertify elected sheriffs Judge Christine Schaller halted portions of Senate Bill 5974, signed by Gov. Bob Ferguson on April 1, one day before it was set to take effect. The measure would have required sheriffs and other law enforcement leaders to maintain certification with the Criminal Justice Training Commission, with decertification automatically creating a vacancy in elected office. 🟦 JUDGE CHRISTINE SCHALLER: "The statute allows an elected sheriff to have their peace officer certificate revoked by an administrative body based upon unconstitutional language. Such a revocation under the new law would result in a vacancy of the office of sheriff with the sheriff being removed. This also allows, again, an elected official, someone chosen by the voters, to be removed in the same way as an employee of theirs, another peace officer employee, could be removed. "And again, although a sheriff could seek judicial review, that would be after a decision was made by an administrative body and the vacancy and removal would be immediate. And the decision to revoke an elected official certificate would not be by someone in an elected and or public office, which is contrary to how removal of elected officials is treated by the constitution and, as far as the court is aware, for every other elected official in the state of Washington. " This process authorizes arbitrary and discriminatory enforcement. I find that the plaintiffs have a well-grounded fear of imminent invasion of their rights based upon what they have set forth in their statements and based upon my finding as it relates to number one, because the law is set to go into effect tomorrow. Prof. Steve Hanke: Russia🇷🇺 is a BIG WINNER from Strait of Hormuz Remaining SHUT ‘The commodities that are all plugged up in the Gulf right now are in short supply, and the price is going up. It happens that Russia produces some of those key commodities that are plugged up in the Gulf. One of them happens to be oil, but also fertilisers, helium, aluminium, etc. So as those prices go up, of course that’s beneficial to Russia. It’s exporting and, to some extent, even having some of the sanctions lifted, at least temporarily, on Russian exports, believe it or not. Russia is actually increasing the quantities that they’re exporting, and they’re exporting those at higher prices. So they’re a winner in that sense. You can see this in all kinds of telltale signs, one being the fact that the ruble is pretty strong right now. Of course, there’s a little grumbling about that with the fiscal authorities in Moscow, because that increase in the value of the ruble versus the US dollar means that for every dollar’s worth of oil or commodities that you’re selling, you get fewer rubles per dollar. So the fiscal deficit increases a little bit as a result of that strong ruble. But the strong ruble, by the way, is also an important factor in anchoring inflation and inflation expectations in Russia. The central bank has been doing a pretty good job. They’ve slowed down the money supply growth, and as a result, inflation has come down. I think the money supply growth rate consistent with Russia’s 4% inflation target is a little over 8%. They’ve now got their growth rate down to a little over 11%, but they’ve been steadily cranking it down. As a result, the official inflation rate is about 5.6%, which is a little over the target, but it’s coming down, not up. Interestingly, Barack Obama was President Obama at that time. Elections in India are conducted by a constitutional body by name Election Commission of India (ECI). Though it is apparently independent of the Executive Government, there is much to be desired about its impartial functioning, of late. The ECI has been reporting huge increase of vote percentages post-polling so as to change the electoral fortunes. Unlike in the democracies elsewhere, in India voting is done NOT through paper ballot but electronically through Electronic Voting Machines (EVM). As a result, there have been huge concerns regarding the integrity of the poll process through EVMs. Importantly, more than alleged tampering with the EVMs which could be sporadic, there are serious allegations about vote percentages increased post-polling by ECI, which allegedly happens by inputting votes into the EVMs after the voting officially ended. Pertinently, there has been strong anti-incumbency against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his party BJP in the later half of his second term of 2019-24. But to utter surprise, in General Elections held in May, 2024 his party won 240 seats. Though short of simple majority in Parliament, he stitched an alliance with other parties and became PM for the 3rd time. Likewise, in States of Haryana and Maharashtra there was a wave of anti-incumbency against the ruling BJP of Narendra Modi. But shockingly in the elections to these State Assemblies held in October/November 2024 his BJP won again. And the ECI had failed to satisfactorily explain the huge increase of vote percentages post-polling, which decisively alter the outcomes. Each skin starts from concept art which is reviewed and iterated on numerous times before being approved. Once approval is given, it is handed to our 3D modelling team for sculpting into high poly, then low poly, while receiving numerous reviews and adhering to our pipeline protocols. When the low poly version is finished, the 3D team then finishes with UV mapping and texture baking and runs their own QA process. Once the entire 3D sculpting process is approved, the models enter the skinning, rigging and weight painting process and are then passed to the animation team for further testing with various animations and another set of QA such as minimising clipping and identifying any other potential flaws in the model. The model then needs to go through the final process with a game developer to ensure it passed the final tests and is game ready for #E2V1. 8⃣ The above steps only represent a light explanation of our character and clothing pipeline, but as you can see we’re not simply selling static concept art images or a high poly 3D model that lacks any kind of optimisations resulting in little chance of it ever being game ready in its advertised state - there is a lot of work that takes place in order to get these skins to the stage our #Players see them in the video footage. A short timeline. Just what happened, in order. Decide for yourselves. 1. A DRep (⛏️Dr. Navjit Dhaliwal) asked whether DReps with paid IO-linked roles should abstain on IO's treasury proposals. A normal conflict-of-interest question. 2. Charles did not answer the question. He went after Iagon - publicly, repeatedly, over days, to his 1M+ follower account, with IO employees and IO-aligned accounts amplifying. He said Navjit had "lost the plot," called the concern "objectively wrong," and publicly stated Iagon's leadership should be replaced or the project could collapse. 3. IAG fell ~32% in 24h. Holders - who are also ADA holders - lost real money. 4. As IAG was crashing, the price-crash chart was posted at Charles. He replied with a video clip of Bane: "Your punishment must be more severe... not of your body... of your soul." 5. Charles began describing the conflict-of-interest question as an "attack on his ambassadors." It was not. No ambassador was attacked. A DRep asked, in public, whether DReps with paid IO ties should abstain on IO's proposals - a standard governance question. Reframing a question as an "attack" is what made everything that followed look justified. 6. On that false premise, Charles hosted an X Space and said, about the token holders of a project in his own ecosystem: "I don't give a shit about your token holders... I don't give a shit about your bag holders... If you attack my ambassadors, I will burn you to the ground." He also said the way out was to "apologize" and "back the fuck off." 7. When a community member said I was "obsessed," Charles replied that I have "CDS," that it is "incurable," and that people should "let him go." CDS - Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome - is a veterinary diagnosis: age-related dementia in dogs and cats. So a sitting DRep raising sourced concerns was described in the language a vet uses for a deteriorating animal. 8. Charles then posted a unity video: the only thing that can destroy Cardano is internal fighting. 9. When some Japanese DReps voted against IO's research proposal, Charles posted directly to the Japanese community: if the proposal did not pass, "Cardano will lose its scientists" and "our lab will be forced to close." He then asked the community to "delegate to dReps who support Cardano's research agenda" - in other words, to move voting power away from DReps who voted the wrong way. When that pressure did not deliver the result, the threat hardened: approve the proposal, or be responsible for ending Cardano's research entirely. Only after this also failed to work did the tone suddenly soften. 10. As hundreds of holders engaged with these concerns, Charles shifted tone - "#strongertogether," inviting conversation. 11. I took that at face value. Then I did something he never did. After he attacked Iagon, after the "burn you to the ground," after his words helped wipe ~32% off a token held by thousands - I was the one who extended a hand. I publicly offered him a private, no-recording, one-on-one call. Man to man. Not for me - for the ecosystem. The person who was attacked took the first step toward peace. 12. His public answer to that olive branch was the pattern again, in one post. He said: "Tell him to go to hell." He demanded I issue "a public apology FOR EVERYTHING he said" before he would even speak. He said: "You don't treat me like a human toilet." And then, in the last three lines: "He's trash. Everyone can see it now. We move on." Read that ending again. I offered him a private, calm conversation - and his response was to call me "trash" and tell the audience that this proves something about me. He attacked, and in the same breath framed the attack as evidence against the person he attacked. That is the reversal in its purest form: be the aggressor, then announce that the aggression exposes the victim. That is the sequence. I offered a calm, private conversation - and that was the response to it. One more thing worth seeing plainly. Not days apart. The same afternoon - roughly two hours between these two posts. First, in public, to the ecosystem: "Cardano is alive. The community is engaged... You are not passive holders. You are owners." "Let me show up the way I should." "I am inviting all of you to sit down and have a real conversation." "I am 100% focused on Cardano and Midnight. #strongertogether" Roughly two hours later, to me, after I publicly offered exactly that - a private, calm, one-on-one conversation: "Tell him to go to hell." "Have him issue a public apology FOR EVERYTHING he said." "You don't treat me like a human toilet." "He's trash. Everyone can see it now." That is the gap. "Stronger together" for the audience. Two hours later, "go to hell" and "he's trash" for the person who took him up on it. A real invitation to talk does not come with a demand to grovel first - and it does not curdle into "go to hell" within the same afternoon. Look at the whole shape of this. He attacked. He did not answer the question - he went after the people who asked it. When the damage was done and holders were losing money, he posted about punishment and souls. He said in public he would burn people to the ground. He pressured an entire national community to vote his way or be blamed for the end of Cardano's research. And then, step by step, he became the victim. The question became an "attack." The critics became aggressors. The man with 1M followers and the treasury proposals became the wronged party defending the vulnerable. When I - the one who was attacked - offered peace, he framed himself as the one owed an apology, and called me "trash" for asking. That reversal has a name: DARVO. Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender. It is not a diagnosis. It is a pattern, and the record above is the pattern, step by step, in his own words. So the practical question stands: Is this conduct - the attacks, the Bane clip aimed at people losing money, the "burn you to the ground," the pressure on the Japanese community, the false "victim" framing, the rejection of a good-faith olive branch - the conduct of someone who should be trusted with hundreds of millions of ADA from the community treasury? Cardano does not have a "leader." It has a community, a treasury, and contractors who ask that community for funding. IO is one of those contractors - currently asking for hundreds of millions of ADA, with a track record of missed timelines. A contractor asking the community for money does not get to attack the members of that community for doing the exact thing the governance system was built for: participating, voting, and asking questions. First, in public, to the ecosystem: "Cardano is alive. The community is engaged... You are not passive holders. You are owners." "Let me show up the way I should." "I am inviting all of you to sit down and have a real conversation." "I am 100% focused on Cardano and Midnight. #strongertogether" Roughly two hours later, to me, after I publicly offered exactly that - a private, calm, one-on-one conversation: "Tell him to go to hell." "Have him issue a public apology FOR EVERYTHING he said." "You don't treat me like a human toilet." "He's trash. Everyone can see it now." That is the gap. "Stronger together" for the audience. Two hours later, "go to hell" and "he's trash" for the person who took him up on it. A real invitation to talk does not come with a demand to grovel first - and it does not curdle into "go to hell" within the same afternoon. Look at the whole shape of this. He attacked. He did not answer the question - he went after the people who asked it. When the damage was done and holders were losing money, he posted about punishment and souls. He said in public he would burn people to the ground. He pressured an entire national community to vote his way or be blamed for the end of Cardano's research. And then, step by step, he became the victim. The question became an "attack." The critics became aggressors. The man with 1M followers and the treasury proposals became the wronged party defending the vulnerable. When I - the one who was attacked - offered peace, he framed himself as the one owed an apology, and called me "trash" for asking. That reversal has a name: DARVO. Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender. It is not a diagnosis. It is a pattern, and the record above is the pattern, step by step, in his own words. So the practical question stands: Is this conduct - the attacks, the Bane clip aimed at people losing money, the "burn you to the ground," the pressure on the Japanese community, the false "victim" framing, the rejection of a good-faith olive branch - the conduct of someone who should be trusted with hundreds of millions of ADA from the community treasury? Cardano does not have a "leader." It has a community, a treasury, and contractors who ask that community for funding. IO is one of those contractors - currently asking for hundreds of millions of ADA, with a track record of missed timelines. A contractor asking the community for money does not get to attack the members of that community for doing the exact thing the governance system was built for: participating, voting, and asking questions.
