No one is obligated to confront their bigots. It's not always safe to do so. You are only obligated to do what you feel you can safely do in the moment, and should never feel like you have failed yourself or anyone else for doing what you need to do.

We have to be so kind to ourselves as trans people right now. I do the same thing if kicking myself for not saying stuff, but we HAVE to prioritize our safety right now over teaching cis people. I’m hoping their day got better after this

i want this person to know that standing up for their community isnt their job. and it probably couldve been very dangerous for them to do so. physically/mentally. im just happy they know that they deserve to exist. i can’t imagine hearing that.
