Thanks for that. Yes these various bills interlock to create a totalitarian matrix and the whole thing is even more totalitarian than expressed in the video. But on the bright side the Canadian Constitution contains the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms that defines Canada as a Free and Democratic Society. Now since Constitutions are in theory primary, foundational documents, laws which override or ignore those primary tenets, and most obviously and especially totalitarian laws, are breaking the law. The word Free, despite being an ideal that evades a simple definition, nevertheless is easily understood in its general ideal form, and forms a basic barrier to totalitarian measures. And the word Democratic, which literally means 'rule by the many', or in more normal usage, rule by the people, is another fundamental bulwark against totalitarian laws and measures. That is, the words Free and Democratic form basic concepts and ideals and guidelines and boundaries for Canadian politicians as well as of course for all Canadians. What has happened in Canada is that there has been a multi-faceted erosion of continual support and defense which these constitutional basics require in order to be sustained. These do not have a life of their own, but require being given life constantly by Canadians. On the other hand, de facto totalitarian and tyrannical political measures, can and will chip away at and undermine and weaken the Constitutional imperative. The process above will have a catastrophic trajectory within a context where Canadians do not remain vigilant, and especially where mass media is deployed as mercenary enablers of political tyranny. Which is where we are at in Canada. This totalitarian process underway in Canada is being more or less mirrored in much of the so-called 'western world'. Also on the bright side, this endemic process relies upon censorship, gaslighting (authoritative absurdities repeated), outright lies, suppression of free speech and now increasingly draconian laws. Thus honesty and common sense and making fun of the rot and stupidity on high become lethal weapons against the totalitarian impetus, and these have imperishable enduring strength. Historically, assholes in power tend to become serious irritants to the public, and at some point the public will go beyond scratching the itch to locating the underlying problem. Eternal vigilance is the right prophylactic advice, but hockey night in Canada et al is pretty diverting.
