Sophisticated, Intellectual Jazz is not everyone's fav genre, BUT, if we let numbers talk? There's as much or more complex melody & harmony being crafted by Bill Evans on the spot in that less than 2 (two) minutes than will be provided during the entire S.B. halftime musical act today, & the artist will earn more in that short interval than I bet Bill made in his lifetime. I could be wrong, but I hope I prompt a thought or two. It's not a disrespectful criticism, just a call for a glance at how a culture is moved along an arc in different eras.
