Bill Maher DEFENDS Charlie Kirk after actor David Cross tried to paint him as racist. Maher refused to let Cross run away with the narrative. MAHER: “But like the the the rank and file Republican, I don’t think is a racist.” “I think you can get them into positions that look racist, but I don’t think in their bones they’re like what the racists kind of what I grew up was like a racist was somebody who didn’t want to shake a black person’s hand.” CROSS: “Yes...I don’t think that’s a thing, but I think there is...I mean I know there is because they say as much.” “There’s a feeling, a sense that...uh...I mean like Charlie Kirk stuff that women and black people and black women especially are just not...” “I’m not being an a**hole guys, I’m just saying they don’t have the mental, you know...” MAHER: “There was a little more [to it].” “I read that when he died, of course lots of places put his greatest hits...worst hits, worst things.” “And then somebody else printed something and this is what always happens with the media like I never trust it because you never get the full story, where like each one was put in with the full context.” “It was never quite as bad as they said.” CROSS: “I mean, context is everything, right?” MAHER: “It is. I’m just saying it was easy to pull from his quote bed and find stuff that I certainly don’t agree with even in the context, but it wasn’t quite what...it wasn’t quite what you were saying there.”

I remember when I was young, around 10-11 years old. My parents were both asleep as was my brother. I heard a knock on the back door which was weird because who uses the back door at a stranger’s house? The kitchen window was close by so I take a look. It looked like a teenager but hard to tell because they had a hoodie with the hood up. I didn’t open the door but I did crack the window and asked them what they wanted. They replied they were lost and wanted to come in to warm up and use the phone. Even when it’s daylight I know never to let anybody in period that I didn’t know, but a stranger after midnight was weird enough. I said no because I didn’t know them. Then they said that hey knew my dad and that’s why he came by. I said that’s fine and all but I’m not letting you use our phone. This was before cellphones were widely used, we had a landline like most people. The person wouldn’t take no for an answer and I could sense he was getting angry. I went and woke up my dad, I told him there was somebody at the back door and that he said they knew him. He walked to the door and looked out and said he didn’t know him. But he did talk through the door and told him that he was calling the police and that he should just leave. The person just stood there until the police finally came and even they asked him what he was doing knocking on the door at that hour. He told them he was lost and thought this was a house of a family friend. The police told him my dad didn’t know him and made him leave. So was this a case of wrong house or was he up to something. It makes me still wonder to this day but I’m still glad I never opened the door.

mingyu teaching the members how to drive and even going with them to get their license 👤 who did you teach? 🐶 hoshi hyung, woozi hyung… 🍒 dino! 🐶 i think i even went with them for their written test? as you know, you get your license at the testing place. and from my experience of it the first time, you take the written test then the driving course test. but within that time, it’s too late when you get a ticket for the driving course test right after coming out from the written test. so i thought about it, “the members are going to take it tomorrow, but the timing won’t be too bad if someone gets the ticket for them in the middle of their test. so they can probably do the driving course test as soon as they come out from the written test”… i’m not sure why i did but i went to the testing place with them 🍒 he said he’d do it for them! 🐶 i did, i told them i’d do it so that they can do their driving course test on the same day too. so after they went to take the written test, it was about an hour long, i got the ticket about 40 minutes in. once they got out, i gave both of them their tickets and said they could take the driving course test right away and they were able to 👤 how reliable! 🐶 why was i like that then... but woozi hyung still doesn't have his driver's license! he only took up to the driving course test 👤 really? but if you fail once then you just think “i’ll do it next time!” and it ends up getting pushed back 🐶 its so funny, why did i do that? what did i do for an hour just sitting there?! and it’s meaningless if they failed! 🍒 mingyu has a lot of those sides to him~

#TAEYONG WEVERSE LIVE 🌹: "And there is one thing I’ve realized, that now when I’m alone, I don’t want to talk about the members anymore. Because I felt this even when I was in the military. Of course, I did do it a lot, but I think I came to think that talking about someone else when they aren’t around isn’t polite, no matter how much they are team members". 🌹: "We’re close and like brothers, but still, if you hear what you want to hear directly from the people involved, it’s much more comfortable for me, and I think it would be more comfortable for you all and the person involved too. (I’m trying not to talk about even that member’s TMI anymore. Actually, I did talk about it during the last interview. There was talk about the members, but because the other members might feel uncomfortable. I said that I wouldn’t talk about it. 🌹: "I asked for your understanding. So I hope you all understand. They did that for me . I hope you all understand, too. I think I regretted those things. Talking about the members' TMI or things like that in the past. They might have wanted to talk about it too, you know". 🌹: "And rather than just finding it fun for me to talk about, the people involved need to have something to say when they come. If I tell them everything, what are they going to talk about when they turn on the live stream again? If I tell them everything, they probably won't turn on the live stream at all. They won't even talk". *Pat pat* 🌹: "You all understand, right? Thank you" * Taeyong, I respect your decision. I hope those people who always do that can understand and respect your decision as well.

Gena Rowlands explains the reason why "A Woman Under the Influence" (1974, Cassavetes), which was first written as a play, was made into a movie: "Rowlands: John wrote it as a play. He said, “Hey, I wrote you a play.” And I said, “Great, let’s read it.” I read it and I said, “John, I couldn’t do this every night and twice on Wednesday and Saturday. I wouldn’t be able to last two weeks. I’d die.” It was a very hard play to do every night. And he said, “Don’t worry. Don’t even think about it, you’re right. I hadn’t thought of that.” He said, “Just forget it.” Then in about two weeks he said, “Okay. I solved the problem. I wrote a different play for you.” He said, “So you won’t have to carry all of it every night. I used the same characters but I enlarged different parts of the scenes.” He changed it generally to make it humanly possible. And I said, “Oh, that’s a miracle, let me see it.” And I read it and I said, “Listen, you must know a lot of strong actresses!” [laughs] I said, “I still wouldn’t be able to do it. This is really hard.” She has a nervous breakdown—there’s a lot of things that are hard emotionally to do. So he said, “Okay. I’m going to write it as a picture.” I said, “I think I can get through it once.” [laughs] “But I’m not making any guarantees.” He thought that was funny and then he wrote it thinking like an actor too instead of just a writer. I think he took that into consideration. And it is, of course, much easier to do a film when you’re doing an extremely emotional part than it is doing it onstage over and over especially. Interviewer: Do you consider that to be your most challenging role? Mabel? Rowlands: Well, yes, it was my favorite. I loved doing that. And it was challenging. Interviewer: Since John gave you so much freedom to do what you liked as a character, how would you go about finding them? Was it something that was instinctual for you, from the script? Rowlands: I read the script, you know, 50 times. And I thought about it. And then I did it. [laughs]" (Gena Rowlands' interview with Colleen Kelsey, Interview Magazine, 2016) P.S: Remembering the great American Actress Gena Rowlands on her 96th birthday!

Kristen Bell reveals Dax Shepard broke up with her, then called her back just four days later. “ He did break up with me very early on. I may have scared him a little because I wanted to spend all our time together. I was very excited, and he had just gotten out of a relationship and wanted more freedom. I don’t think he wanted everything I was presenting to him.” “ He sat me down and said, ‘I don’t think we’re in the same place. I really, really enjoy you.’ At that point, I was definitely in love with him. We were a month and a half in, and I was heartbroken. Even thinking about it breaks my heart.” “ He said, ‘I’m still casually dating other people.’ I definitely wasn’t. But he was very upfront. He said, ‘That’s not what you deserve, and I’m not going to give you anything half-assed.’ In a way, he was extremely responsible with my heart, even though he broke it.” “Then, four days later, he texted me: ‘I’m just joking. I can’t do this. I really would like to be with you again.’” “I went over to his house, but I was a little guarded. He had planned a trip to the Bahamas for New Year’s and said, ‘I should probably let them know if you’re going to come on the trip.’” “I said, ‘If you want to invite me on a trip, you can ask me like a lady.’” “I gave him some grief after that, and I think it set the tone for our relationship.” “My therapist had said, ‘Maybe make him earn you back just a little bit. Don’t play a game, but don’t go back like some happy, dumb puppy dog.’” “So he did. He said, ‘I would really like it if you would accompany me to the Bahamas for New Year’s. Would you like to come?’” “And I said, ‘Yes, I would love to.’”
