Bill Maher says something completely inoffensive, that McDonald's is delicious, and his panel acts as if he has just dropped a bombshell piece of information. Part of assimilation into upper middle class norms is to pretend fast food isn't delicious.

In my bestselling book I write about McDonald's, Taco Bell, and my true love, In-N-Out:

I also share a story of my misadventure at a Jack-In-The-Box drive thru.

@mr_james_c The problem with this is that McDonald's is, in fact, utterly disgusting.

This is 100% true. I would eat trashy fast food every day if it wasn't so unhealthy.

When I'm in California I'll eat protein style double-doubles at In-N-Out and tell myself they're healthy.

Fascinating. Reminds me of an Onion sketch where nobody wants to admit that they were shopping at the Walmart.

I worked at McDonald's for the last few years. McDonald's is not delicious. It is genuinely gross. I think the opposite of you. I think a lot of rich people are signalling they are with the average person by signalling love for McDonald's - but it is genuinely 🤮.

McDonald's is not "delicious". i say this as someone who goes there a bit. It is nothing compared to an actual meal, and especially not compared to a gourmet meal People liked it because it was fast and cheap. As McDonald's raised its prices the last few years, its sales began to collapse because it was no longer cheap. If it was a taste thing, like other goods that are about quality, it would not have suffered. Quality sellers are in a gold mine currently

McDonald's has some of the best breakfast food out there. It's breakfast is even better than its lunch food.

I knew before I watched the video that @mkhammer would agree with Bill that McDonald's is delicious.
