@BillSimmons For the WTA, matches in majors and regular tournaments are best of 3 sets and are on average 90 min to 2 hours. For the ATP, they also play best of 3 in all non major tournaments. Your complaint is specifically regarding the majors for ATP which are best of 5.

The reason matches are going longer is due to the slowing down of courts and the balls. They’ve done this so we get more long rallies which apparently is what people want to watch. Matches can be too long but changing the scoring won’t fix it they need to change the conditions to what they used to be
