People with “zero introspection” should have zero power and zero to do with the public.

So he has zero emotional intelligence, yet is a billionaire. Blatant proof of the nonexistent meritocracy

That's called being a psychopath.

Some of the most influential thinkers were deeply introspective. Marcus Aurelius wrote an entire book of private self examination. Søren Kierkegaard built a philosophy around inward awareness. Sigmund Freud formalized it clinically. Calling introspection “modern” is historically illiterate. Refusing self examination is defense mechanism. It is avoidance being presented as philosophy and people buy it because he’s White, male, & rich.

I'm not surprised egg head suffers from Zero introspection.

This is what happens when stupidity and tantrums are rewarded with money and power over and over again

one of the dumbest thing s ive heard today thanks

"Empathy, insight, and introspection are lacking in people with psychopathy and alexithymia (Haviland et al., 2004)."

Imagine being so dumb to think that introspection is a modern creation.

This is why billionaires are the most dangerous people that have ever lived. It reveals the level of psychopathy it takes to become one and also explains why most of their lives are so vacuous and empty.

This is the most preposterous thing I’ve ever heard and is basically just an excuse for a dude to not give a sh’t about anyone but himself and therefore find no wrong in that. Which is why we’re sitting in all of the messes we are right now. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

As I was saying

Sociopaths being sociopaths!

We talk a bit about Marc here:

Marc Andreesen: Why have a self when you can become an extremely lucrative black hole with the historical literacy of a fruit fly?

This guy is out of touch. He's a billionaire on a podcast, ironically introspecting about how introspection is a "20th-century fad" that holds elites back from success, while telling the rest of us that reflecting on the harm our choices cause just gets in the way. Meanwhile, history's greatest figures, philosophers, thinkers, inventors are remembered for their mindfulness and breakthroughs, not just scaling businesses. Sure, CEOs build infrastructure and empires, but they rely on those introspective minds to create the innovations, solve real human problems, and drive progress. Today's CEOs? Often just acquirers of knowledge, not originators. In short: He's saying human morals and ethics are flaws to ignore for the sake of "winning." Sick mindset.

He made this hiring decision. I will leave it here.

he should introspect that fuckin conehead

that covid breathing Andreessen is doing is wild

Oh look another billionaire whose never done an honest days work on another podcast beaking off with unhinged-crazy-fascist-anti-human-borderline-violent opinions no one asked for.

Bragging about lacking Emotional Intelligence, zero perception of what that even is 💀

"400 years ago it never would have occurred to anybody to be introspective." - Marc Andreesen "Cogito ergo sum." (I think therefore I am.) - 17th century French philosopher René Descartes This is why nerds shouldn't make policy.

The rest of the world is so over Americas drug fuelled, narcissistic, sociopathic, destructive, wannabe tech trillionaires no matter the cost to society so long as it enriches themselves assholes. They must be stopped if we are to have the world we deserve & one that will survive

What on EARTH?! Marcus Aurelius wasn’t introspective?! Moron is claiming that introspection started in the 1910’s to 1920’s. Absolutely ridiculous.

He's got a great point (if you just simply ignore every famous philosopher)

"In summary, while rudimentary forms of self-awareness likely existed tens of thousands of years earlier (supported by symbolic and artistic evidence from 60,000+ years ago), the capacity for explicit, articulated introspection as we recognize it today emerges most convincingly in the archaeological record around the Upper Paleolithic (50,000–40,000 years ago), with the first clear written exhortations appearing by the mid-1st millennium BCE" A modern invention 🤣

Same reason all these billionaires end up on Epstein island… zero introspection 😵💫👹

Animals also lack introspection. So what does that tell you about these guys? And yes, I know some animals would argue, if they could, that they, unlike these billionaires, do have and enjoy introspection.

So Socrates was manufactured in the 1910's and the 1920's? Good to know. These are the geniuses? Maybe they're just sociopaths and the U.S has learned to not only accept them but to praise them regardless if they deserve it or not.

Philosophers from the last few thousand years would like a word.

So "to be or not to be" is from 1910's Vienna? Wow. Cool.
