His reply was about "union paymasters". Unions are funded by workers who are British taxpayers. Conservatives are funded by British tax avoiders, non-doms and oligarchs.

He is complicit. He knows he was chancellor during the corruption and theft. He is as guilty as those who profited. No ways will he willingly want to recover any of the money looted because he knows he signed off on it. A job for the Labour government in the near future.
