The good news for Billy is… 👀 He travels to the big hospital on the 23rd April to get both eyes fixed. He’ll get his eyesight back 🏡 Billy will be available for a forever home after that. ✈️ He will get an MRI to make sure all his swelling has gone down to fly 🥰🙏

Billy’s brunch order was a sausage, 2 slices of crispy bacon and scrambled eggs. He said don’t forget he’s only small and wanted to keep room for his own car cream afterwards 🥰

We gave him a little groom and put on his favorite bandana before taking him for a walk and breaking the big news to him… Billy has a forever home With a lovely family in Singapore. 🇸🇬 It’s amazing that he is even here today… 🔪 He was badly beaten up and left to fend for himself 🧠 His beating was so bad he had brain damage 😖 Billy had severe PTSD (he didn’t stop crying for days on end) 👀 He was 90% blind when he came into us 📆 It’s taken us 4 months to fix him up and rehab him 🏥 He’s had 3 trips to the hospital 800km away 💵 His medical bills are over $3000 but someone kindly paid to have his eyesight restored. It’s very rare id watch a video over and over again but I’ve watch the big with him running in this one about 20 times now. This is a dog who couldn’t put 1 foot in front of the other until recently. Billy is an older boy but nobody deserves to head off to his retirement home to be spoilt more than him.

Billy Update - He's doing great! Little Billy is only about 10kg or 22lbs but he has more fighting spirit and courage than any creature I’ve ever seen. Much of his story is still hard to piece together but the news gets better for him each day… 🧠 MRI scans revealed swelling but no long term brain damage 🪱 He does have heart worm but it was not as bad as originally thought. X rays showed it is very treatable 😖 His PTSD and anxiety is still there but it has calmed down massively. Instead of screaming for 3 hours when he is not held it’s just 15 minutes now and he then relaxes. 👀 Both his eyes can be operated on for cataracts I April or May. Billy could get his eyesight back if all goes well 🏥 His hospital stay was a huge success. It was over 1000km each way and he was in for 9 days but it worked! 🏡 Billy obviously can’t travel far and he is still sick but I am hoping to find him a foster home soon. I just wanted to see how he was when he got back. The land is too big and too many other dogs and things to bump into. He needs his own quiet little place and humans to help him get back on his paws fully. I never really share the bad videos or the extend of his suffering and PTSD as it was just to painful to watch. I genuinely wasn’t sure there would be a future for Billy at all at one stage but thankfully there is. A very very good little boy is Billy.

I just interviewed Pastor Chuck Swindoll. Chuck is 91 now, and he is still full of energy and passion, still serving the Lord. He's lost most of his eyesight — but not his insight. What a model he is for me. Chuck Smith was the same way. I once asked him what an older Chuck would tell a younger Chuck. His response: "Hold the course." Billy Graham was the same way. I introduced a friend to Billy some years ago, and my friend thanked him for his service. Billy responded, "I wish I had done more." Here was a man who preached the Gospel to more people than anyone in history — and standing near the end of his life, his only regret was that he hadn't done more.
