Bionicle brainrot

The Toa Cannisters were hibernating in the Red Star until The Great Cataclysm caused them to fall down to the surface of Mata Nui prematurely, 1000+ years before the Kini-Nui summoned them from the corners of the ocean where they had drifted. This is why the Toa have amnesia.

They were in the Codrex, not the Red Star. And they weren’t necessarily launched prematurely, the mechanism to summon them to the island just didn’t work because of the Great Cataclysm.
