It's messy and beginners risk ruining their boards with hot air. I cringed thinking the solder paste/melted solder could get trapped under the pads if somebody just apply a big blob and hope for the best. Just get a pair of hot tweezers with a wide tip and be done with it.

What a horrible process! This isn’t a BGA. No need for all this nonsense. Remove, clean the pads, center, tack down one pad, dab a bit of solder on each pad and be done!

Terrible video. I think they intentionally added flux over and over to make the video longer
