I agree with you, Luke:

No point going back to Bitcoin Core if miners control it. The inevitable result is node centralization and Ethereumization, leaving the asset exposed for the State to domesticate and neuter. A PoW change is the only path to preserve node decentralization and fight another day.

I pretty much agree with this, at this point

95% of node runners do not support BIP110

Hardfork Kratter's profile picture

Actually 100% of nodes accept BIP-110 blocks

Q's profile picture

hi noob/non-technical person here. can you elaborate/clarify what you mean by all nodes accept BIP-110 blocks? Is that based on the software that runs a node? Is there a later date that does not support Knots/BIP-110 that would mean that those nodes do not accept. Truly just learning/asking

If only 20ish percent of the nodes were BIP110, how can we say the majority wanted BIP110? Full disclosure: I ran BIP110 until the split. I still standby it in principal and hope the network does another BIP to combat non-monetary junk on our beloved.

REFRAME: As the meme says, IT'S NOT OVER, IT'S JUST THE BEGINNING. 🤣👮🔥⚡️🙏 We well continue to fight for a Bitcoin that is decentralized in nodes and in mining. Because we need a blockchain that is durable for generations. If it isn't, then Bitcoin is just Shitthereum.

This is a good thing, a minority should not be able to implement a change. You have lost your mind. “The mining industry has come together and rejected the wishes of 18% of the network”…brother, what about the majority’s wishes(82%)? This framing is absurd.

Finally my X feed won’t be spammed by this BIP-110 nonsense anymore. This whole thing was much ado about nothing.

We mine the BIP-110 chain. The one with the centralized miners will eventually die from spam and CSAM and become worthless.

Why did you expect the majority of miners to support BIP-110? If you truly believe in BIP-110, why not go ahead and create a hard fork?

Everyone wanted “big money” in Bitcoin because it would make the price skyrocket. Well, you got what you asked for and this is the result. Bitcoin is Wall Street’s bitch. Careful what ya ask for!!!

No one came together to do anything all we did was NOTHING. That was all any of us ever had to do. You keep saying "the miners" and acting like they are 6 companies. There are 10s of thousands of us who mine. We rejected you by doing ZERO. As we told you we would. You Subtard!

I've listened to your interviews and messages, and have to say that it seems like you guys were the ones colluding, you guys are the ones seeking to fix a problem that hasn't existed in the 10 months since v.30 has been released. At least that's one pleb's take.

You had 20% support by your own words. You needed 55% to compel the miners to even consider their stance in this. They could ignore it because you didn't even meet the proposals metric for consensus rules.

Bitcoin Core and the community are unwilling to admit that the lack of a limit on message board bytes is a bug. Like a Trojan horse, they argue that the failure to update to fix the bug in a timely manner is because they cannot censor what data people are putting into Bitcoin, which they claim is the spirit of Bitcoin's decentralization. I believe that Bitcoin is now striving to become a global data center, not a currency. Bitcoin has been parasitized and integrated with the values of Bitcoin users (BSVs). BSVs have taken over and parasitized Bitcoin in another way. Most investors who claim to hold Bitcoin and believe in its merits don't care about these issues; their reason for optimism is the religious belief that Bitcoin's price has been rising continuously.
