I say it as often as I can, that 1 of my wishes when I die is to have a well attended Janazah, and to witness this level of attendance within 4 hours of announcing his death, in Ramadan makes me full of gratitude. As he is honoured in death, I pray Allah make him of His honored and favored servants, grant him a rank with the righteous in Jannah 🙏🏽. Ya Allah, have mercy on Yusuf Kunle Sulyman, forgive him, wash him off his sins, elevate him, make his barzakh a beautiful abode and reunite us all in Jannah Firdaus. Painful, irreplaceable loss, but we are full of gratitude for a life well lived. May Allah forgive him for his shortcomings and for that which we don’t know of his shortcomings. Ameen 🙏🏽.

Can any of my friends from the Boomer Generation answer this for me? Why are the Boomers so offended when ask to see their ID? This bank teller was explaining how she goes through this all the time. They always tell her that they’ve been banking there longer than she’s been alive. Showing an ID is just a simple measure to prevent fraud and theft, yet they yell at her for it. I ask because this happens to me all the time, even on the phone. Back at the pizza shop I would have an elderly man call in an order for food and most of the time he picks it up himself, no problem at all. However he started sending other people to pick it up as well as have other people calling the order. When the person picking up shows me his card which I recognize his name which had his photo on it, I won’t accept it without and ID as well, just a precaution. He then had to come all the way down there just to yell at me because obviously it’s for him and I shouldn’t have hassled him. I tried to explain to him when he calls it in and picks it up I know it’s him. However when others call it in and pick it up, I can’t verify if it’s actually legit or not, what if somebody stole his card and tried to use it. He still had an issue with it and explains that his grandkids should be able to use his card, I tell him that’s not how it works and if he kept giving my staff a hard time I would ban him from the store. I don’t need anybody threatening the workers over something meant to protect him. Should I just have let anybody use his card without verification at the shop? What if somebody did steal his card and spent his money, then he would have been mad at me for letting them do it.

A hard rescue today as I got a message from a kind local lady who needed help with an old blind dog. The poor boy was most likely dumped in the area because the “end was close for him”. He was confused on the beach and stuck. He wouldn’t have lasted much longer were it not for their bravery. His vet results were about as bad as it gets. His eyes might be glaucoma as he can’t see a thing and his kidneys and liver are bad as well as severe anemia. His anemia is so bad we can’t even put him on a drip. While I was driving him around I just had to keep talking to him as his head would keep dropping. His body is so weak. He is also very hard to handle as he lashes out with bites as he can’t see what is going on around him. He is terrified. The ladies called him Rocky as they are hoping he will make a comeback. It won’t be easy at all but he did start eating, drinking and resting well this evening. We will all have to keep everything crossed for this lovely boy. Whatever happens he isn’t on his own and he has the best medical care now. Rocky even let me pet his head tonight. I think he understands he is safe.

One thing that Baekhyun is also good at is holding back his tears, but last night, as much as he wanted to hold it back, tears fell down and he started crying. Forever for a multitude of generations and to comfort anyone who misses his soothing tone or decadent energy. This moment is how I choose to remember him. Joyfully and excitedly playing his guitar and you can see in his face, that it was where he was most at home. You can see his full interview in the documentary 'Finding the Funk' and see what made his soul light up. And thank you to D'Angelo for lighting up our spirits with his talent and may his sound and love continue to comfort his loved ones during such a significant loss.

Everyone please join me in celebrating a very special agent at Matthews™, Ryan Garveigh, who is based out of our Atlanta, GA office. This past June, in his first year in brokerage, at 24 years old, Ryan was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, a type of blood cancer that affects the lymphatic system, and Ryan was immediately started on a chemotherapy plan to treat the disease. I heard about Ryan’s diagnosis shortly after he received it so I called his cell phone to check in on him and tell him we were all thinking of him, and get this… When I was talking to him I asked him “what are you up to right now?” And he replied, “well to be honest, I am currently sitting here getting my first treatment of chemo while making cold calls”… I couldn’t believe it. Dude was getting chemo injected into his veins and yet was still hitting the phones trying to talk to owners, set meetings, and build his business. Ryan was not going to let his cancer diagnosis get in the way of him building the life he envisioned for himself. Needless to say I was beyond inspired and impressed with his mental toughness, and while I told him I appreciated the hustle, I did encourage him to focus on his health, and not let the stress of making “coldies” affect his recovery. Regardless, he ensured me he would take it easy if it became too much… Well fast forward six months, and here is a video Ryan just sent me this morning of him leaving the hospital after completing his full chemotherapy treatment, and I wanted to share the video and good news with all of you. This is a reminder to be grateful for things we take for granted, like our health, it is a reminder that “fair” in life is all a matter of perspective, and it is an example of the mental toughness and lack of victim mentality we are all capable of. Congrats to Ryan. Chemo and coldies, there has been no greater embodiment of the “Matthews Mentality” than this young man. God is good.

Charlie Kirk's impossible neck position, as he gets carried away from the scene. It is kind of hard to see on this image. I did my best pointing out with two dots the back and the front of his head. It looks like his head position is just about parallel with his shoulders. I am not sure how many men can have their head in this kind of normal resting position, or even in their stretched position ? Maybe ladies can ? I do not know. But men, I do not think so. I surely can not do this even close. If any of you guys can do this, please mention it in the comments. But it does look to me like his neck, at this moment, is broken ? And for those, who do not have a background to this claim, I am attaching a video that hints to how his neck could have been broken, upon his hard body slam from about 4-5 height.

Moral of the story? You cannot be kind to people any more. A former employee reached out a week ago and asked if his girlfriend (who is like a daughter to me) and his 2 year old daughter could stay with us for a few days. I told him we didn't have room at the house currently, BUT she was welcome to stay in my RV at my shop until we could find her a place. I would make sure she was safe, and taken care of. This young man has been like family since he was 13. I taught him to weld. I have given him vehicles, employed him multiple times, etc. Tried my best to talk him out of the stupid stuff he does. Just petty crimes, fighting, evading police, etc. I have tried for years to get him to just straighten up and be the man I know he could be. Day before yesterday, he tells me he has a warrant out for his arrest and I tell him he cannot stay there with her. I can't have him staying there and getting me involved with whatever shit he had going on. She is welcome to stay, but he can't be there. He lost his mind and called me all sorts of things as he stomped out. Well, last night he decided he was staying there regardless, and when she wouldn't unlock the door, he decided to put his fist through the glass. Drugs destroy people, man. This young man had so much potential and I have tried and tried to get him clean and get him to a good life... Now, we all suffer, and I have to get his girlfriend and little girl away from him before he kills them. Just insane.

Had the most strange night in a LONG time. At midnight, my ring cameras go off at the shop with deputies all over the property... I have no idea what is happening, and it gets insane from there.
