Bitcoin Core Going Rogue?

The actions and opinions of OG's matter. By supporting Ethereum with your company, you signaled that you believed that it was a legit asset, rather than the steaming pile of shit that it is. Your overall conflict of interest is that you consort with wizards and shitcoiners

Would you offer security services for XRP or HEX if they were #2 in market cap? Are you that asset-agnostic?

@mattkratter Aren’t market cap and demand strongly correlated?

Note: I am not the CTO of OCEAN - that's @LukeDashjr. I'm also a terrible programmer, but this discussion isn't all that technical in nature. It's just devs trying to make Bitcoin more conducive to ETH use-cases. The reason for 80 bytes/83 bytes confusion is that some of the data has to be output script - i.e actually writing 6A/op return. Can vary in size depending on the contents of the actual op return but that uses 2 or 3 bytes but isn't the "contents" of the actual op return.

@LukeDashjr Thanks for the clarification and sorry to you and Luke for the mis-titling

What did I get wrong?

@theonevortex When you see CTV in their profile you typically, except few cases, can disregard answering, these are monopoly Core Devs BIP mania fan boys, it is similar to talk to an altcoiner, illogical time waste 'argumentation'. They n Ed to buy more itiriums.

@mattkratter More than any altcoiner in Bitcoin, get cured first from that altcoining mindset, if that is even possible, then maybe we talk again.

@mattkratter I follow some people I disagree with, you can see it in the list of people I follow, namely some Core Devs, but also others pumping the BIP mania to central monopoly Bitcoin Core, because they like 'world computers' and non-primary data dumping into Bitcoin, worrying any bitcoiner.

It’s unbelievable.

EVERYONE SHOULD RUN KNOTS 👏😁🙏 Thanks @parman_the

Thanks for this video Matt, very useful. We both want the Bitoin blockchain to be used mostly, if not solely, for sats monetary transactions and i believe most bitcoiners feel this way. I hope common sense will prevail. Bitcoin can only be killed from within...

Thanks for covering this. I guess I need to figure out if I can run Knots on my new FutureBit Apollo II.

As always very helpful content. Thank you Mr. Kratter. Is there any risk that such disputes would lead to kill Bitcoin as trust may wave away ? Maybe you can give me your valued opinion on my question. God bless you⚡️

@FrancescoB888 Bitcoin will be fine as long as Bitcoiners remain vigilant. Bitcoin is not something that you "trust" but rather something that you need to "verify" and learn about for yourself

Thank you Sir Kratter for your fast and helpful reply⚡️

Thank you Matt for the insights on this important issue. I’m here for the monetary reasons and the peaceful revolution.

Excelent video Matt, thanks for what you do.

Thanks Matt! We can always count on you to bring clarity to the Bitcoinverse!

"Bitcoin Core is *just* the reference implementation of Bitcoin."

Fair take, I agree and hope the PR isn't merged. This would push me to knots. There is an attack vector that people don't like about this, ie spamming up blocks with nonmonetary data. Someone with deep enough pockets to waste money on fees...

Prepare for Fork Wars 2.0

I recommend people read the mailing list discussion. Some devs pushing this have conflicts of interest, but many ACKing this change are doing so out of logic. It seems less like devs are corrupted, and more like they are cornered and capitulating.

Busted! 😂

Thanks Matthew!

Thanks for covering this story. Very quick response bro! @mattkratter

shitcoiners and bankers ruin everything. fiat minded wastes of space.

matt i am disappointed lol these txns can alrdy happen, but happen in a centralized manner using private mempools all this change will do is marginally improve decentralization of the mempool it has 0 impact on consensus

As always, thank you!

Must watch video 👍

Brilliant, as usual! Thanks, and please keep us posted with this topic!

You missed the fact that arbitrary data <spit!> these days is stored in witness fields/unspendable Taproot outputs where it gets a fee discount and there's moar space for cat jpegs. It would cost 4x more to put it in an OP_RETURN. Maybe ditch the witness discount 😱. Incentives.

IMV Peter Todd is for too long a very serious danger to Bitcoin, with his obvious high level of "altcoining mindset". Regarding not upgrading to new monopoly's SW version, that is 'effective' while they not supporting older versions, that is how their SFs become de facto HFs.

Great vid with nicely structured information 👍🏻

This was a great video - thanks for posting it! Stepping outside of this specific debate, it's unclear how the Bitcoin Core devs avoid eventually be coopted by financial interests, as the incentives continue to grow. What's the longterm strategy or mechanism that keeps special interest at bay?

.@Narodism thoughts?

Matt, I can't play the video now, but, do you have a script for it I could read???? Thank you!

Moved Knot.

Great you are creating attention about this. I fully agree with your point of view, that bitcoin should continue to be a monetary network and not a storage network.

Thank you Matt!
