Anyone who values Bitcoin needs to understand what is happening here. Other countries follow suit once they realize they've lost any cyberspace advantage or edge they thought they had. A Strategic Bitcoin Reserve will not just be a "nice to have" idea thought up by a bunch of financial engineering nerds, it will become an absolute necessity by any national government if they expect to be taken as a serious global power. "Instead of looking to the government or Saylor or BlackRock or someone else as our saviors, if you want the price of Bitcoin to go up, you just need to use it as money yourself. You need to because if Bitcoiners aren't going to use Bitcoin as money, I'm not sure who is." "Ask to pay in Bitcoin, ask to be paid to be paid in Bitcoin, because this is how real Bitcoin adoption works. The World Economic Forum doesn't talk about Bitcoin - so I made sure that we did in 2025. I took the chance to ask if the US will adopt a Bitcoin strategic reserve during the 'Crypto at a Crossroads' session inside this year's WEF conference. Coinbase's Brian Armstrong remains confident we will see a Bitcoin reserve in America. Interestingly, South Africa's Reserve Bank Governor Lesetja Kganyago made it evident that many still don't understand the underlying value proposition of Bitcoin. Armstrong provided an important response: "Many things have been used as money over the years. I think it's clear at this point that, you know, Bitcoin is a better form of money than gold. The World Economic Forum doesn't talk about Bitcoin - so I made sure that we did in 2025. I took the chance to ask if the US will adopt a Bitcoin strategic reserve during the 'Crypto at a Crossroads' session inside this year's WEF conference. Coinbase's Brian Armstrong remains confident we will see a Bitcoin reserve in America. Interestingly, South Africa's Reserve Bank Governor Lesetja Kganyago made it evident that many still don't understand the underlying value proposition of Bitcoin. Armstrong provided an important response: "Many things have been used as money over the years. I think it's clear at this point that, you know, Bitcoin is a better form of money than gold. Not sure about the details of this but here's what I do know. Senator Cynthia Lummis and Rep. Warren Davidson have been trying to give Bitcoin a favored status in Congress for years. They are both Bitcoin ideologues trying to pass laws that would advantage Bitcoin over other digital assets. It's time for a level playing field in crypto. Bitcoin had 10 years of regulatory monopoly. PASS THE CLARITY ACT!
