You spend it when you no longer earn cash flow from a job. At some point, your stack will be big enough to sustain your lifestyle. I don't subscribe to the idea that you never sell your bitcoin. I believe that you spend your Bitcoin instead of selling it for dollars and then holding dollars, hoping for bitcoin's price to come back down.
