This is getting seriously interesting again. $BTC dumped from $82,300 to $78,600 this weekend liquidating $1.4B! But this is the important bit: In Friday's post I said $80,000 was the key breakout level and losing it would bring the huge liquidity below into play. That’s exactly what happened. Bitcoin now has roughly $2.3B liquidity below between $76,500 - $78,500 versus $2.3B above between $80,500 - $83,000. This means the HTF liquidity has just been reset and is perfectly balanced, with no clear advantage on either side. On the LTF, the largest liquidity zones sit around $78,400 - $78,900 below and $79,900 - $81,000 above, which makes it likely these levels get swept today. Whales are still showing huge demand from $78,000 - $79,000 to buy the dip, while large sell walls remain stacked above $80,000 until $83,000. This means buyers are defending underneath, but Bulls still have a lot of supply to clear before I trust another breakout. Meanwhile, spot demand has weakened again and Coinbase Premium remains negative, while OI is only starting to rebuild and futures traders have shifted back towards buying. Here's an excellent video from Florian (follow) that shows charged water on the left and neutral water in the right. This is a visual confirmation of two known effects; Electrostatic induction and dielectric relaxation time. Electrostatic induction is like when a hair-rubbed balloon sticks to the wall, despite the wall being neutral; the balloon causes charges in the wall to polarize so the wall side near the balloon turns negative and the other side of the wall is positive. That's electrostatic induction and that's why you have raindrops that stick to a car window for hours of wind and gravity, rain has a small negative charge. Wouldn't work with tap water. Now, if you remove the balloon, the wall doesn't return to a neutral state immediately. It'd happen quickly if we had a balloon on the other side of the wall, but by itself this can take seconds, minutes, hours or even days, depending on the material and thickness. Glass is quite slow, and you can see the electric forces holding each other will hold off gravity for some time; and that the water greatly prefers not to be broken off, water is like an uncountable number of those walls in series, and they all cling to each other in proportion to how many balloons we have, ie how many excess electrons we have. OK, I can get behind this. With Magpul and Ruger collaborating on the RXM (very successfully, I might add), Mini-14 mags and furniture should at least be considered. The Mini-14 is an underrated platform and expensive proprietary mags hold it back. Cheap mags and Magpul furniture *could* create positive network effect demand for both. The Mini-14 price is still a tough sell at $1,300-$1,400 MSRP. If they could course correct on that at the same time, I'm just saying there are possibilities here.
