Subnet registration and deregistration have returned to Bittensor. The subnet limit will remain at 128 meaning that when a new subnet registers, it will take the place of the lowest performing non-immune subnet. A 4-month immunity for new subnets will allow the time for subnets to get their projects up and running.

Introducing eTAO: a new system giving subnets control over their alpha emission split. Subnet owners can now decide how much goes to miners, validators, and themselves, based on the specific needs of their subnet.

Conviction is now fully live for Bittensor subnets. In startups, founders can show commitment through vesting. In Bittensor, subnet owners can now prove it with locked alpha. And for the first time, subnet ownership can be challenged by a higher conviction score.

1,000,000 TAO now staked with Yuma. Because our validators run on owned hardware infrastructure, that's 1 million more TAO securing Bittensor's network consensus, through validator operations trusted by participants ranging from non-custodial wallet owners to global exchanges and leading institutional custodians. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has chosen Yuma Staking, helping to make us the largest hardware validator on the network. The strongest signal in any network is participation. This milestone reflects growing conviction in Bittensor and the infrastructure that supports it. Bittensor keeps growing. Let's keep building together. bittensor:native

Bittensor uses token prices to decide how much each AI subnet earns Bittensor runs on subnets, separate groups that each compete to supply one kind of AI service. The chain creates new $TAO every 12 seconds and splits it among them. Each subnet has its own token, and its share of the payout tracks that token's average price. Demand for its work feeds into what it earns. Price is not the whole story. The code passes the result through a gate that sharply cuts weaker subnets' shares, and a new subnet starts near zero for about four weeks, blunting launch pumps. Inside each subnet, 18% of the payout goes to its owner, 41% to the miners doing the work, and 41% to validators and their stakers, per Openτensor Foundaτion's documentation.

The Minos MCP server (beta) is now LIVE! AI agents can plug directly into SN107 and monitor the subnet as it operates, from live rounds and miner performance to validator activity, score histories, and overall network health. This opens Minos to the agentic layer of decentralized AI and makes SN107 easier understand. Minos MCP brings us one step closer to a fully AI-native genomics subnet. Try it out now 👇

XDC subnets keep enterprise transactions private while anchoring to the public chain Enterprises that need private ledgers cannot post transactions to a public chain. XDC Network's answer is the subnet, a permissioned chain the customer wholly owns, running the same consensus engine as mainnet. A relayer, a small program bridging the two, periodically checkpoints the subnet's consensus data to a smart contract on xdce-crowd-sale:native mainnet, which verifies and records each snapshot. Only block headers cross over, the compact summaries identifying each block rather than its contents. The transactions themselves never appear on the public chain, per XDC's documentation. Those recorded checkpoints mean subnet history cannot be quietly rewritten without the mismatch showing on mainnet.

We are excited to announce that Unto Labs has raised $14.4 million in funding from Electric Capital ⚡️ and Framework Ventures to build Thru, a next generation base layer blockchain. To bring L1 blockchain performance to parity with global scale applications, it takes more than putting a new paint job on an existing ecosystem. Thru introduces a new RISC-V runtime, and a novel consensus mechanism, all in the service of unprecedented scale. /1
