While the #DMK may choose to boycott 'this' meeting in which Congress is part of, it is likely to make every effort to isolate the Congress nationally, feeling that it was backstabbed by the party. At the same time, a national-level realignment is underway. Parties like the TMC still need the support of the Congress and other opposition parties to effectively take on the BJP at the national level since they lost their own state. As far as Tamilnadu is concerned, however, the 2029 election will largely depend on how TVK positions itself against the BJP , whether on policy, ideology, or political messaging. Simply having the Congress in the alliance will not automatically make TVK appear ideologically anti-BJP, nor will it organically transfer votes. A YSRCP or BJD-style model of 'maintaining distance' from the BJP, while keeping Congress as an ally may not necessarily work in Tamilnadu. #TNpolitics #tamilnaduelections

In a disturbing escalation of political violence in West Bengal, the TMC launched a violent attack at the BJP District Party Office in Cooch Behar. The Assembly Elections are probably 11 months away but TMC have unleashed their attack dogs on the principal opposition party; BJP. This shows that they are losing ground and that's why they are resorting to violence so early. The Party Office is located in the Cooch Behar town and the incident unfolded in the presence of Mamata Police. TMC Goons along with Jihadists who are under the patronage of Mamata Police executed the attack. Several of our Karyakartas got injured badly. Recently, BJP MLA from Cooch Behar South Assembly Constituency; Shri Nikhil Ranjan Dey was attacked by TMC Goons while he was going towards Dinhata Court. Today's incident has reignited concerns over the deteriorating law-and-order situation in the district and all over the state as well. The attack is a deliberate attempt to intimidate BJP workers and a blueprint of the TMC's desperation to cling on to power through violence and thuggery.
